We are going to look at a New Start of humanity for Noah and has family in Genesis 9:7-11. The rainbow is a fitting sign. Light must be shinning through the clouds. There can’t be a flood, light is breaking through a rainbow is formed. God has made this a sign he will not flood the world.

Normally the birthright goes to the firstborn son. That would be Jacob’s brother Esau. Now we will look at how Jacob manipulated the birthright for the blessing. By custom Esau was to inherit the blessings of Abraham and Isaac. This fellow Jacob stole Esau’s birthright and blessing.

Jacob came out of the womb grasping to the heal of his older twin brother Esau. His name meant grasping. Figuratively his name meant deceiver. Jacob deceived his father Isaac into thinking he was Esau so he would receive the blessing intended for Esau.

Joseph did not need to wait until he was standing before Pharaoh and put in charge of the whole land. Faithfulness to God is always the right path. Joseph needed to trust God the whole time he was the forgotten prisoner. And he did!

Joseph: Reunited With His Family Series

Joseph was separated from his family at the age of 17 not because of war, but because of the wicked jealousy of his own brothers. In their jealousy they sold Joseph into slavery and presented his ornamented coat to their father. God used this for his purposes.

At the end of life and facing death Joseph is the story of a victorious faith. Hebrews 11 is the hall of faith chapter. In the faith hall of fame are Joseph’s father Jacob, his grandfather Isaac, his great grandfather Abraham.
