Seize the Moment
Acts 3:1-11
Miracle---Proclamation---Souls Saved---Persecution---Church Prays---Church Receives More Power---Another Miracle
I. Peter Stopped
Jewish day consisted of 12 hours
Last Hour of prayer in the Jewish day was the ninth hour or 3:00 P.M.
While others hurriedly pass by Peter and John STOP
They “fix” their gaze on this man--he has their total attention!
II. Peter Spoke
Look at Us
In expectancy the man looks toward Peter and John
“I don’t possess silver and gold” BUT…
Peter gave the man what he needed not what he asked for
Peter gave him Jesus
III. Peter Seized the Moment
And put action behind the words
Peter took him by the right hand and lifted him up
It was then that the physical manifestation of healing took place
This miracle led to proclamation, proclamation led to conversion
