SEEKING A LIFE OF IMPACT – We are More than Conquerors
Matthew 16:18
Now I say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, AND ALL THE POWERS OF HELL WILL NOT CONQUER IT.
Romans 8:35-37
Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or are hungry or cold or in danger or threatened with death? [36] (Even the Scriptures say, "For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.") [37] No, despite all these things, OVERWHELMING VICTORY IS OURS THROUGH CHRIST, who loved us.
Like sheep being led to slaughter the early church leaders were persecuted, imprisoned, and beaten for proclaiming and teaching the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. However, through Jesus Christ they overwhelmingly conquered. As we follow their footprints I pray that we will see for ourselves God’s powerful victory in their lives, and come to realize that this same power and victory is ours today as disciples of Jesus Christ.
