INTRO– SETTING GOALS– UNDERSTAND

Genesis 8:20-22

God makes a promise— Good promise– Because God made it

There’ll be – COLD & HEAT

You’re never going to change that— Dress right–Carry the Bible— Still gonna – hot

There’ll be Summer & Winter

Living in Lubbock— That’s all we have

SCORCHING HEAT— ICE

You’ll never stop that— Prayer Group– Cast the devil out of the Snow

ALWAYS BE— SUMMER AND WINTER

There’ll be Day & Night

Pray and fast— Lord don’t let the Sun come up

If I could’ve talked him into it this morning– I WOULD HAVE

All of those are out of our control----

But one is in our CONTROL

SEEDTIME & HARVEST or Sowing & Reaping

In your life– YOU WILL PLANT SEED

Just as sure as you plant----- YOU WILL REAP

Reap what? WHATEVER YOU SOW

Galatians 6:7 Don’t be deceived, God is not mocked; whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

8 He who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Don’t be tricked, fooled, or deceived —

YOU PLANT IT — YOU PICK IT

It’s true for everyone–

White, Black, Hispanic, Baptist, Pentcostal, Tall, Short, Saved or Not Saved

Don’t get weary in well doing—

Do good to all people– Especially Christians

You can either sow to the flesh or Spirit

Genesis 1:11-12

Do you see what God is saying—

Seed is given– according to it’s kind

Grass– Fruit— Can only yield the seed— OF WHO THEY ARE

The only way to know WHO YOU ARE— LOOK INSIDE

Peel an orange– you’ll find Orange seeds---

So you can see—

Whatever you are— Is what your seed will be

Look at your harvest and see who you’ve been

turmoil, strife, hate, envy, despair

That’s your harvest, becasue that’s you think you are.

Look at your GOD----

AND SEE WHO ARE AND WHO YOU WILL BE

You can count the seeds in an apple. Only God can count all the apples in one seed

How do we see a great harvest?

1. Plant— Ecclesiastes 11:4 He who observes the wind will not sow, And he who regards the clouds will not reap.

You’ll never have a great harvest if you don’t plant

Quit looking at your circumstances

I’ll start this business someday

I’ll get married when the time is right.

You’ll be on a bedpan in a nursing home.. If you wait til the time is right

Your present condition cannot affect — PLANTING

You plant for the future----

Don’t let your present rob your future—

HAVE VISION– HAVE FAITH

If you keep using today as an excuse—

You’ll have no hope for tomorrow

2. Plant what you lack—

The hardest seed to plant–

Is the seed you don’t have

Christians must learn to----

TO PLANT WHAT THEY DON’T HAVE

Christians wont plant— Kindness---- Forgiveness---- Unity----- Money

If you’re having trouble loving people.. plant love

If you’re having trouble being joyous... plant joy

The key is look down inside—

See what your seed looks like

It’s looks like – King of Kings— Jehovah Jirah— Alpha & Omega, Christ in you -- THE HOPE OF GLORY

3. Know that planting brings life—

Get ready for a harvest— Christ came that we could have life

Plant good seed– WATCH WHAT HAPPENS

It may not look like you thought it would---- It’s God

Jews— Looking for a Messiah---- Holy Spirit planted a seed in Mary

Jews couldn’t see it— HIPPIE WITH A COMPLEX

God has a harvest of life— Waiting 4 you---- don’t sow to the flesh– LIVE LIFE
