VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Behind the second curtain

"But [inside] beyond the second curtain or veil,"

Exodus 26:31-33 (Amplified Bible)

26:31 And make a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet [stuff] and fine twined linen, skillfully worked with cherubim on it.

26:32 You shall hang it on four pillars of acacia wood overlaid with gold, with gold hooks, on four sockets of silver.

26:33 And you shall hang the veil from the clasps and bring the ark of the Testimony into place within the veil; and the veil shall separate for you the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.

This is the same curtain that was torn in two so we can come close to GOD thru JESUS CHRIST. No longer there's a division between what is holy and most holy for GOD dwells inside of us and with us.

Mark 15:38 (Amplified Bible)

15:38 And the curtain [of the Holy of Holies] of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.

Hebrews 6:19 (Amplified Bible)

6:19 [Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it—a hope] that reaches farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil,

Hebrews 10:20 (Amplified Bible)

10:20 By this fresh (new) and living way which He initiated and dedicated and opened for us through the separating curtain (veil of the Holy of Holies), that is, through His flesh,

Veil or curtain came from the Hebrew word: "katapetasma" meaning something spread thoroughly, or the the door screen. According to Hebrews 10:20, this is CHRIST's flesh that hanged on the tree, when CHRIST's body was broken, the skin or flesh was torn as well, opening a way to the Most Holy Place for all people.

B. A room called the Most Holy Place

"[there stood another] tabernacle [division] known as the Holy of Holies."

Priests can only enter the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place can only be entered by the High Priest. Our Great High Priest is the LORD who entered Heaven itself, not the shadow or pattern but Heaven, and He came with the Perfect Sacrifice, His own self.

Leviticus 16:27 (Amplified Bible)

16:27 The bull and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy of Holies, shall be carried forth without the camp; their skins, their flesh, and their dung shall be burned with fire.

Hebrews 13:11-13 (Amplified Bible)

13:11 For when the blood of animals is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin, the victims’ bodies are burned outside the limits of the camp.

13:12 Therefore Jesus also suffered and died outside the [city’s] gate in order that He might purify and consecrate the people through [the shedding of] His own blood and set them apart as holy [for God].

13:13 Let us then go forth [from all that would prevent us] to Him outside the camp [at Calvary], bearing the contempt and abuse and shame with Him.

Hebrews 9:11-12 (Amplified Bible)

9:11 But [that appointed time came] when Christ (the Messiah) appeared as a High Priest of the better things that have come and are to come. [Then] through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with [human] hands, that is, not a part of this material creation,

9:12 He went once for all into the [Holy of] Holies [of heaven], not by virtue of the blood of goats and calves [by which to make reconciliation between God and man], but His own blood, having found and secured a complete redemption (an everlasting release for us).
