Jesus rebuked His disciples because they wanted to keep the power of healing for themselves. This is happening in church today even though Jesus said it is wrong!

Salt was scarce in the Near East in Jesus' day. It symbolized the bonds of friendship, peace and love between people. It is another example of the great commandment that Jesus gave us to love one another.
