Satan Who?

Summary: To show that since we are now the Sons Of God, satan has NO authority over us.
INTRODUCTION:
Let’s bring satan into perspective
satan means "Arch enemy of good, and accuser"
SATAN IS:
Fallen, Defeated, Nothing on his own, Small, Ignorant, Weak.
HE WILL NEVER FIGHT YOU AT YOUR STRONGEST MOMENT-
Rather he will wait until your weakness is shown
REALITY: He is a coward, a liar, and a thief
THE BIBLE SAYS:
satan is "AS" a roaring lion
he is really a little kitten with an amplified voice
HE DOES NOT HAVE:
-power
-authority
-dominion
-an opinion
-a right
-YOU or ME
He IS NOT the opposite of GOD-
He is a fallen subservient angel-
His rightful place is under our feet-
He HATES HUMANITY- WHY?
Ezekial 28:12-15
Every precious stone was his covering
he was anointed
he was on the holy mountain with God
he walked up and down in the stones of fire
he was perfect in all his ways
BUT...
he SINNED WHEN THERE WAS NO SIN-
he fell when there was NO devil
he dwelt in a place where there was NO temptation
AND GOD GAVE HIM NO ROOM TO REPENT
SO GOD CREATED MAN FROM THE DUST OF THE EARTH
Breathed HIS breath into man
And the clincher was that God loved man
SO satan WANTED TO DESTROY MAN
satan heard God tell the man "The day you eat the
forbidden fruit you will die."
satans PLOT-
he knew if he attached the thing God hated the most (SIN)to the thing He loved the most(MAN)he would have God in double jeopardy.
BECAUSE HE WOULD EITHER SAVE THE THING HE HATED (SIN) OR KILL THE THING HE LOVED (MAN)!
GOD DID AS HE PROMISED AND KILLED ON THE DAY HE SAID HE WOULD-
HE TOOK AN ANIMAL (a lamb) AND KILLED IT
WHY THE LAMB?
Because the lamb was sinless, innocent and pure
It was easier to kill a sinless lamb than a lost
soul.
HE COVERED ADAM IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB
So He would not see the sin of Adam-
God always knows how to break out of an impossilbe
situaion!
MAN DID NOT HAVE POWER OVER HIS FLESH
satan TOLD GOD, "THE BLOOD OF YOUR SACRIFICIAL LAMB IS NOT ENOUGH."
It pacifys the problem, it doesnt satisfy it
I want your Son
GOD WRAPPED HIMSELF IN THE FLESH AND CALLED HIM JESUS!
Jesus was tempted in the wilderness
satan thought he would do Jesus like he did Adam
VERSE 7
"for it is written, thou shalt not tempt the Lord THY God."
satan BELONGS TO JESUS
VERSE 10
"Get thee hence satan, for it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve."
satan still worships and serves the Lord, he has no more power than what God allows him to have.
JESUS WAS NOT UNDER satan’s AUTHORITY LIKE ALL OTHER MEN WERE-
The Bible refers to man as "the son of man" (earthly
parents).
Jesus was the "Son of God" (Earthly mother,
heavenly Father).
His authority was from above
satan had NO POWER OVER HIM
THE ONLY WAY FOR MAN TO GET HIS AUTHORITY BACK WAS FOR JESUS TO DIE
"For what the law could not do, in that it was weak
through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the
likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin
in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law
might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the
flesh, but the Spirit."
HERE’S HOW STUPID satan IS
He thought that if he killed Jesus,
Then God would be the loser,
himself the victor,
and humanity his trophy.
satan DID NOT KNOW WHAT HE HAD JUST DONE WHEN HE CRUCIFIED JESUS
"But we speak the wisdom of God in a MYSTERY, even the
hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world
unto OUR GLORY: Which none of the princes of this
world knew: for had they known it, they would not
have crucified the Lord of glory."
satan MUST NOT BE ABLE TO READ
The prophets of old wrote of a day that was coming
When God would put His Spirit into man
THE BATTLE OF THE AGES WAS CONSUMATED IN THE CROSS!
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you."
POWER FOR WHAT?
Power to become the Sons Of God
NO LONGER IS IT JUST THE MIGHTY GOD IN CHRIST
BUT NOW IT IT CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE OF GLORY
(the mystery)
satan’s STUPIDITY
satan only had one Son of God to deal with in Jesus
Christ. He should have left Jesus alone.
Because I John 3:2 says
"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not
yet appear what we shall be: But we know that, when
He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall
