Satan Is Watching

TEXT: Job 1:6-7 NLT

"One day the members of the heavenly court came to present themselves before the lord, and the Accuser, Satan, came with them.

“Where have you come from?” the lord asked Satan.Satan answered the lord, “I have been patrolling the earth, watching everything that’s going on.”

YOU ARE BEING WATCHED

We are not alone on earth. While scientist are busy searching for life in far flung planets, they pay scant attention to spiritual forces watching the movement and activities of humanity. Satan and his host demons are watching. God and the host of heaven are watching. Humans, the subject of their scrutiny are busy sleeping. Psalms 13:3 says: "Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death." You will not sleep the sleep of death in Jesus name.

SPIRITUAL SLUMBER

"But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way" (Matt 13.25). Believers cannot afford to sleep spiritually, we must wake up from our slumber and pray without ceasing. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak indeed (Mark 14:38). The Lord will strengthen you to pray without ceasing in Jesus name.

THE OIL OF THE SPIRIT

Matt 25:5 says: "While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept." Believers must have enough oil in their lamp to keep them in the the place of prayer until Christ returns. We need the Holy Spirit now more than ever before. He is the oil we need to keep our prayer life ablaze.

SATAN IS WATCHING

The Accuser of the brethren does not sleep, he goes about looking for souls to devour. Satan will not devour you in Jesus name. Satan spent quality time watching Jesus and his disciples. He used his network of demons and human agents to monitor the camp of the Saviour. He attempted to sift Peter for his purpose but the prayer of Jesus shielded Peter. Judas was not so lucky as Satan entered him and used him to betray Jesus. Although Satan is not omnipresent, he has an extensive network doing surveillance duties for him. Satan is watching you, even now. Satan will not enter into you as he entered into Judas Iscariot in Jesus name.

GOD IS WATCHING OVER ALL

"The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry" (Psalms 34:15). God neither sleeps nor slumbers, He watches over his children as a faithful shepherd, his flock. We are the sheep of His pasture. Psalms 121:4 tells us: "Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep." The sheep must however watch and pray to avoid falling into the trap of the enemy. "But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer" (1 Pet 4:7).

Satan is watching you but God is watching over you and Satan.

PRAYER:

Father, grant me grace to pray without ceasing in Jesus name.
