Santifícame Señor

Summary: Somos hechos en la imagen de Dios. El es santo, y debemos de ser santo en todo aspecto de la vida. A Dios le importa la santidad external igual a la internal. Eso no es legalismo. Es un anhelo para agradar a Dios en todo.
Santifícame, Señor
El Cuerpo Humano tiene que ser sujeto.
Ro 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
19 Os hablo en términos humanos, a causa de la debilidad de vuestra carne. Porque así como presentasteis vuestros miembros como esclavos a la impureza y a la iniquidad cada vez mayor, así presentad ahora vuestros miembros como esclavos a la justicia para la santidad.
Ro 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
22 Pero ahora, libres del pecado y hechos siervos de Dios, tenéis como vuestra recompensa la santificación, y al fin la vida eterna.
1Th 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
7 Porque Dios no nos ha llamado a la impureza, sino a la santificación.
The Spirit, Soul, and Body need Sanctified.
1Th 5:23 ¶ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
23 ¶ Y el mismo Dios de paz os santifique por completo; que todo vuestro ser--tanto espíritu, como alma y cuerpo-- sea guardado sin mancha en la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
1 Co. 6:19,20
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
19 ¿O no sabéis que vuestro cuerpo es templo del Espíritu Santo, que mora en vosotros, el cual tenéis de Dios, y que no sois vuestros?
20 Pues habéis sido comprados por precio. Por tanto, glorificad a Dios en vuestro cuerpo.
Our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost.
1. Cherish it. Eat properly. Get enough rest.
2. Avoid damaging substances: liquor, drugs, tobacco, etc.
3. Present your body in a wholesome and holy way:
Adequate clothing
Distinctive dress that identifies
Avoid vanity--no accesories needed
Piercings, cuttings, marks in the flesh demean the work of our Creator
Coloring of flesh or hair show discontentment of how the Lord made
you.
2 Co 6:16
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
16 ¿Qué acuerdo puede haber entre un templo de Dios y los ídolos? Porque nosotros somos templo del Dios viviente, como Dios dijo: Habitaré y andaré entre ellos. Yo seré su Dios, y ellos serán mi pueblo.
Jewelry and cosmetics have their roots in idolatry.
Exo. 21:5,6
5 And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free: (KJV)
