Summary: The Samaritan Story

First we considered an Introduction to this Story

Now for The First Sermon Outline - Consider

THE LIFE OF THE LORD AS PRESENTED HERE!

In the Samaritan Coming to the rescue of this victim.

[I] THE CONDESCENSION OF CHRIST CAN BE SEEN

This Uncovered Religious....

1. Prejudices - The Samaritans & Hebrews were not

friends - They despised each other

Racial Prejudice abounded

2. Pretenses - Some disguise their feelings and

pretend- Religious Pretense ??

3. Performances - How much of our "Religious -

Actions" is no more than Performance

Possibly not Ours Personally BUT!

4. Presumptions - Things we presume to be so good

May only be Pretense or Performance

Underneath can live Prejudices!!!

[II] THE CONFRONTATION OF CHRIST CAN BE SEEN

Both the Hebrew and The Samaritan are here

confronted with some issues...Life!!!

1. The Observations - They are experiencing some

totally new observations of each other..

2. Their Opportunities - This is an opportunity

to make some inroads in their life and in the

lives of others.

3. Their Obligations - Opportunities presented now

Become Obligations for both..

4. The Outcome - Totally unexpected - This will

result in many changes in their lives...

[III] THE CONSOLATION OF CHRIST IS SEEN

The consoling - Comforting - Caring - Sharing

1. The Samaritan’s Compassion - No reason for him

to be concerned about a Hebrew...But He Is!

2. The Samaritan’s Communication - No reason for

him to converse with this Hebrew - But He Did!

3. The Samaritan’s Companionship - No reason to

spend time with this fallen - victim - this

disgusting Hebrew - But He Does!!!

4. The Samaritan’s Comforting - No reason to try

and provide comfort for this Hebrew - Would

The Hebrew do these things for the Samaritan?

There was -/- Is absolutely no reason For Christ

{Our Good Samaritan} To do these things for Us EXCEPT

THAT HE LOVES US AND CARES FOR US....

No other Explanation for The Actions of the Samaritan!

THANK GOD FOR CHRIST AND HIS LIFE - THE LIFE OF CHRIST

IS TRULY SEEN HERE IN HIS COMING TO US IN OUR HOUR OF

NEED AND BRINGING COMFORT AND COMPANIONSHIP AND IN HIS

COMMUNICATING TO US HIS COMPASSION....GOD BLESS!!!
