SALVATION IS FROM OUR LORD
Psalms 3:8 Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
Jonah 2:9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.
Salvation does not come from merits of men diplomas deeds doctrines mechanics money materials certificates creeds or confirmation classes; it is of the Lord only.
(1) The Lord is the author of our salvation.
Christ designed our salvation way back in eternity.
Christ died for our salvation on the cross.
Christ defeated sin and Satan so he could deliver it to us.
Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
(2) The Lord is the authority of our salvation.
Christ forgives sin and Christ alone
Christ furnishes faith as a gift and his love .
Christ is the final authority on the subject of salvation.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
(3)The Lord is the advocate of our salvation.
According to the bible there is one mediator between us and God
The blood shed is the method of fellowship of God and man.
The believer saved is Gods masterpiece of forgiveness.
1st John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
(4) The Lord is the all in our salvation.
Called by the preaching of the word
Complete in his finished work
Cared for until the end of the way.
John6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
(5) The Lord is the apprehender of our salvation.
We were arrested for his cause
He arraigned us before his court
He anointed us for his calling.
Phil. 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

Our claim is the finished work on the cross
Our confirmation is faith in the living Christ
The credit all belongs to him and his wonderful love.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Proved is the indwells of the Holy Spirit
To protect us with his mighty power.
