Salvation Is A Must

Summary: We look at salvation from the focus of needing help
When was the last time that you needed some help? Who did you turn to in your time of need? Now let me ask it like this, think about the last time you felt like no one was around to help you in your time of need, Who did you turn to? When was the last time you sat in your room and just had a conversation with Jesus Christ? When was the last time you sat and down and asked Jesus to help you grow spiritually?
In today's passage we find a person wanting to grow spiritually, so the person calls on the name of Jesus. This person calls on Jesus at night time, but Jesus still came and helped this person out. The person that needed Jesus's help to grow spiritually was the man named Nicodemus, who is found asking for Jesus's help in the New Testament, in the book of John and in the third chapter of John, beginning at verse 1 and ending the conversation with verse number 21.
You see Nicodemus wanted to grow spiritually so he knew exactly who to call on. He knew to call on Jesus to help him grow spiritually, he knew who Jesus was. He knew who he was because he knew about the miracles that he (Jesus) had been performing far and near. So this is why he knew Jesus could help him grow into a more spiritual person and he (Jesus) could also tell him how to get into the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus must have knew that he had to be born again to get into the kingdom of God. We know this because Nicodemus ask, how can I be born again? Jesus informs Nicodemus that a man must be born of the water and the spirit to enter into the kingdom of God. Jesus is talking about being baptized of the water and of the spirit, which showed everyone that they are a child of God and not ashamed to be called a child of God.
We may not have any water to baptize each other in today, but we can do a spiritual baptism today. Let us commit our lives to living for God for the rest of lives, and promise to spend time with God everyday. Maybe you do not know the God that we are talking about today, well let me tell you.
1. God created everything that you and I see today, he even created every human that you see walking among the earth. So God is the creator of everything here on earth.
2. Jesus came to the world to save us from sin, it is because of Jesus that we have a chance of getting into heaven one day. If Jesus did not die for our sins we could not get into heaven. The reason being is because sin is not allowed in heaven. Sin is the act of doing anything that is not pleasing to God. We sin daily but we can also ask God for forgiveness and God will forgive us!
3. The Holy Spirit is that voice we hear talking to us and comforting us when we are down. The Holy Spirit reminds us of all of the good things that we are to do, the Holy Spirit also reminds us that we are not perfect, however we can ask God to forgive us for not doing everything right and God will forgive us for our sins. The Holy Spirit even reminds us that when Jesus died for our sins, he also made it possible for us to be forgiven for our sins. Jesus asked his father this right before he died, " Father forgive them for they know not what they do."
If you want to be a child of God, just ask God to come into your heart and make you one of his! Once you do this you are now one of his children for life, welcome to the family!
