HEBREWS 12

A great cloud of witnesses

Throw off everything that hinders

Run with endurance

Fix our eyes on Jesus

the Lord disciplines the one he loves

A GREAT CLOUD OF WITNESSES

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses…

THROW OFF EVERYTHING THAT HINDERS

let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles…

THROW OFF EVERYTHING THAT HINDERS

and the sin that so easily entangles…

RUN WITH ENDURANCE

and let us run with endurance the race marked out for us.

RUN WITH ENDURANCE

and let us run with endurance the race marked out for us.

FIX OUR EYES ON JESUS

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith…

FIX OUR EYES ON JESUS

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

THE LORD DISCIPLINES THE ONES HE LOVES

5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as children? It says,

"My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,

6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his child." [Prov. 3:11-12]

7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?
