Days of Validation - so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

Days of Veneration - 17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

The Peril - there arose no small stir

The Problem - about that way.

2. The Source of the Riot -

The Person - 24 For a certain man named Demetrius,

His Profession - a silversmith,

His Perversion - which made silver shrines for Diana,

His Provision - brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;

3. The Course of the Riot -

The Meeting -

25 whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation,

The Greeting - and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth

The Bleating - He Complains about -

The Revival -

The Gospel Mission - 26 Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia,

The Gospel Messenger - 26 this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people,

The Gospel Message - 26 saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands

The Gospel Menace - As Against His -

Work - 27 so that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought

Wealth - but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed,

Worship - whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.

4. The Force of the Riot - Their -

Concern - 28 and when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath

Cry - and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

Confusion - 29 And the whole city was filled with confusion:

The Racket -

The Fluster - 32 Some therefore cried one thing, and some another:

for the assembly was confused;

The Folly - and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.

The Fear -

The Man - 33 And they drew Alexander out of the multitude,

The Motive - the Jews putting him forward.

The Mission - And Alexander beckoned with the hand,

and would have made his defence unto the people.

The Mistake -

The Record -

1 Timothy 1:

The Charge - 18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee,

The Change - 19 holding faith, and a good conscience;

which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

The Chastening - 20 of whom is Hymenæus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

2 Timothy 4:

The Check - 14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil:

the Lord reward him according to his works:

Or The Lord will repay him for what he has done.

Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: (or leave room for God’s wrath,) for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

The Challenge - 15 of whom be thou ware also;

for he hath greatly withstood our words.

The Rebuke

The Control

His Authority - 35 And when the townclerk had appeased the people,

His Appeal - he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana,

His Ability - and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

The Counsel - His -

Defence - 36 Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against

Deference - ye ought to be quiet,
