Righteous Are Not Forsaken

Summary: To prove in the bible that the LORD cares for us during youth and up to our old age, we are forever blessed.
I. EXORDIUM:
Are you forsaken by GOD?
No. Hebrews 13:5 & Deuteronomy 31:6
Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]
Be strong, courageous, and firm; fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you; He will not fail you or forsake you.

III. OBJECTIVES:
To prove in the bible that the LORD cares for us during youth and up to our old age, we are forever blessed.
IV. TEXT:
I have been young and now am old, yet have I not seen the [uncompromisingly] righteous forsaken or their seed begging bread.
V. THESIS:
Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for we are blessed from youth to old age and we are taken care of by the LORD and in the LORD JESUS CHRIST we are preserved forever.
For the Lord delights in justice and forsakes not His saints; they are preserved forever, but the offspring of the wicked [in time] shall be cut off.

Righteous are not forsaken
VII. EXPLICATION:
A. Authors: Authorship of many is uncertain, generally attributed to King David.
B. Date written: c. 1440 to 450 B.C. ( From Moses to Ezra)
C. Purpose: 150 songs to praise and worship GOD
D. To whom written: Sometimes to GOD, sometimes to author
E. Main Themes: praise and worship, prayer and praise
VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. From youth to aged
"I have been young and now am old,"
Yes, even when I am old and gray-headed, O God, forsake me not, [but keep me alive] until I have declared Your mighty strength to [this] generation, and Your might and power to all that are to come.
Cast me not off nor send me away in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent and my powers fail.
There went with us also certain of the disciples of Caesarea, and brought with them one Mnason of Cyprus, an old disciple, with whom we should lodge.
From youth to being old, we are not forsaken by the LORD and the LORD remembers us. So as partners of the LORD JESUS CHRIST in this free grace, we remember the LORD in our youth.
REMEMBER [earnestly] also your Creator [that you are not your own, but His property now] in the days of your youth, before the evil days come or the years draw near when you will say [of physical pleasures], I have no enjoyment in them—
B. The righteous or it's offspring will never beg for bread

For the Lord will not cast off nor spurn His people, neither will He abandon His heritage.

A good man leaves an inheritance [of moral stability and goodness] to his children’s children, and the wealth of the sinner [finds its way eventually] into the hands of the righteous, for whom it was laid up.
Unbelievers leave an inheritance to their sons, but believers leaves inheritance to their son's sons. Longevity is the difference because the righteous are still there to see that his wealth benefits his descendants.
With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.
IX. CONCLUSION:
We are not helpless even in our old age. The LORD provides and liberally supplies for us.
