Rich man and Lazarus

Luke 16:19 "Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, joyously living in splendor every day. 20 "And a poor man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores..”

This morning God reminded me of the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, let me talk about it today. The above scripture says that he habitually dressed in branded clothes and lived in opulence everyday, did you hear me say that? Every day. This is what we hear and see every day, don’t me? Interview with Bill Gates, who divorced his wife because of his weakness for women, World’s richest man, the Tesla boss Elon Musk, who has been married thrice, with 6 kids and still pursuing other women, the umpteen celebrities that people crave to listen will one day die. Yes DIE. The Bible says, (verse 22) the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried and he went hell. Did you see that? How much money you make and your property has no value, your good deeds and your holy life is what qualifies you to go to heaven.

As a little boy my son who has heard about heaven and hell and how ‘only’ Jesus is the way to Heaven would ask me each time he saw a huge group of non-Christians, ‘would they go to heaven or hell?’ While at any public place or a huge gathering of pilgrims, he would never fail to ask me this question, ‘would they all go to heaven or hell?’ Very difficult question indeed! The answer has to be simple and not rude; yet at the same time, the truth should not be sabotaged. I would wisely tell him ‘this is why we should aggressively preach about Jesus so that the rest of them don’t go to hell.’ There would be silence after that – on both ends. Our hearts would be silently beating fast for the lost in the world! Do you have this burden for the people lost in sin, greed, gambling, lusting, corruption, adultery, alcohol and much more?

Many parents book movie tickets and take their children with them with popcorn to the movie theatre to watch crap, lust, violence and nonsense. The child comes home and learns how to dance and dress like movie stars, alas, they have failed to walk like Christ!!!!! Parents, you are responsible for the future of your kids, remember that!!!!!!Warning!!!!!

Many, many are aware of the unrighteousness and ungodliness in their life in the form of: pirated software, fake certificates, bribe, corruption, indiscriminate debts, lavish spending, yoking with non-believers and lots more; yet, they do not lift their little finger about it because it would cause pain and loss. DIRTY GUTTER IS BETTER THAN GETTING BETTER! A couple living together without marriage do not want to stretch and get married; yet they dutifully attend church. A woman living an adulterous life with a married man continues to daringly take holy communion. Many may go to church but alas only a few, very few, who strive hard to follow Jesus and His commandments would make it to heaven!
