Summary: The angel looked at Mary Magdalene and her team who were full of angst and worry and said: ‘Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here.

I am the resurrection said Jesus!

John 11:25”Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.”

I just want to ask each one of you a question this morning; do you understand the ‘resurrection power’ of Jesus Christ or have you been eating ‘easter eggs’ and dancing away to glory? What does Easter mean to you? During gut wrenching times and crisis are you able to rely on His resurrection power and say, ‘my Redeemer lives, He would sure bail me out or do you rush to people for help? Tell me.

The angel looked at Mary Magdalene and her team who were full of angst and worry and said: ‘Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.’ The ones that went early to the tomb and tarried around the place got to hear the good news first! Observe, the angel gave them an invitation! ‘See the place where they laid Him.’ I ask you today, are you interested to the see the place where your Savior died for you and me? Or are you too busy with projects, seminars, shift duties and hot pursuit of money? Alas! Many of us have missed out on God!

Brave, strong muscled men weep uncontrollably and lose their grip on life because they have lived life on their terms and with their strength! Are you hearing me please? The resurrection of Jesus gives us hope at the most thick darkest hour of our life! Do not despair! Hallelujah! Listen to what Peter says: 1Peter 1:3”Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

During the initial stages after I was saved, while still a toddler in my walk with the Lord, I

was called to pray for a fourth degree cancer patient. The scene I saw there

was just miserable and tragic. She was a young woman curled up in the bed, tattered,

skin shriveled due to chemotherapy and other strong medications. I shared my miracle, love of Jesus and prayed for her; subsequently I visited her many times at the hospital and shared the Gospel with her. One day, midnight I received a call from her husband who said that his wife passed away and that the wish of her little son was that “I should be the first one to be informed about her death because I brought light into his mother’s life.” Later the husband told me, that for the first time after the gruesome disease struck her life, she was smiling and talking a lot about Jesus. I would never forget his words, he said ”bala, without you, we would not have been able to take this tragedy. You brought Jesus into our life at the right moment.” Her last words to her son were, “Son, I need to go home, Jesus has engraved me in the palm of His Hands. I have no fear of death now.” I would never have been able to do this, if not for my own fiery trial in the hospital bed myself!

Nothing could hold Jesus inside the tomb! He came springing out for you and for me! Stop living a mediocre life but live a powerful life for Christ impacting the lives of people around you!

Romans 6:4”Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

Have a powerful Easter!
