Summary: The resurrection of Jesus Christ and what it has to do with any one who believes
Introduction: In this world it’s for sure that everyone who has born has to physically face death one day. But for a Christian who has accepted Jesus as his Savior death is not the end of all. Let us briefly go through the stages that lead to the resurrection of Christ and the same stages that can lead us to the same position.
[1Co 15:3-4 KJV] 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Here Apostle Paul prioritizes some thing that he received from God to enlighten the church at Corinth. Here he discusses the four stages of everyone’s destiny in these two verses. 1. Sin 2. Death 3.Burial and 4.Resurrectoin.
[Act 24:15 KJV] 15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
[Rev 20:12 KJV] 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
The above two scriptural references make it very clear, whether be just or unjust, small or great all will be resurrected and will be brought to the presence of God for judgment. God’s governance will not be sparing any one whether he be great or meek. Dear Brothers and Sisters think of this. We will have to face this one day and all the wealth or materials we have today will not be of any use on that day because God will be judging us based on our decisions we take during this earthly life.
1.SIN
[1Jo 1:8 KJV] 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
[Rom 3:12, 23 KJV] 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. ... 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Is it not clear that we all surely come under the purview of these scriptures?
Then what is the way out? [2Co 5:21 KJV] 21 For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him .
God has ordained a way out. But we have to take the decision whether to accept Jesus to wash away our sins or to deal with the subject of cleansing on our own effort. Dear brothers and sisters please choose the first way. The wrong option of cleansing ourselves has definitely failed many across ages.
2.DEATH
Simply said, death is the separation of our Spirit and Body. We have to face death because of Sin. Sin gives the power to death to kill us. In every child born in this world the mark of sin is always present except Jesus. Before Jesus had to die for us he has to bore all our sins. Because he was made sin for us he had to face death.
[Rom 5:12 KJV] 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
[1Co 15:56 KJV] 56 The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law.
The key to destroy death is to eradicate sin – Jesus came to destroy death by washing away our sins.
3. BURIAL
Burial is definitely required for the process of resurrection has to happen. The crucified body of Jesus Christ has to be buried before his resurrection happened.
[Eph 4:8-10 KJV] 8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. 9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
4.RESURRECTION
For resurrection has to happen some one has to order back the spirit that got separated from the body during the process of death. Jesus did it in the case of Lazarus. The resurrected Jesus is king of kings and Lord of Lords now and will also resurrect us one day.
Conclusion: Dear brothers and Sisters please take a decision to day. The four stages I have discussed with you today will definitely happen to all that is born on this earth. We are already in part one. The decision we take during this time will have eternal consequences. Think it over. Come to Jesus get your sins cleansed so that we can rule with him in eternity.
