Resolutions For Life

There are a lot of resolutions I would like to make...I need to lose some weight, stop drinking so much espresso, even keep my office cleaner. I am starting to realize that with issues of personal purity and devotion to the Lord, I need to see the forest from the trees. It seems to me that if I simply live by these resolutions all those other things will fall into place. "see ye first the kingdom of God."

1. Prayer:

Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the LORD, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah.

2 Chronicles 20:3

2. Purity:

Though you probe my heart and examine me at night, though you test me, you will find nothing; I have resolved that my mouth will not sin.

Psalm 17:3

But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.

Daniel 1:8

3. Power:

For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
