VIII. MAIN BODY:

Reluctant can be the same as "to hesitate", "to delay", "to linger", "to tarry". People who are reluctant won't accomplish things for GOD, if you know GOD is speaking to you thru His Words, don't delay anymore but move in GOD's direction.

Psalms 119:60 (Amplified Bible)

I made haste and delayed not to keep Your commandments.

A. Angels seized his family by the hand

" the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand,"

Angels will be sent out on behalf of those who will know the LORD by the preaching of the Gospel.

Hebrews 1:14 (Amplified Bible)

Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?

Sad but true instead of knowing the LORD more, Lot lived in a cave not knowing the LORD.

If you are saved or have given a second life, make sure this time you will make it better by having a relationship with the LORD JESUS CHRIST as your LORD and SAVIOR.

Isaiah 63:9 (Amplified Bible)

In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the Angel of His presence saved them; in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.

Lamentations 3:22 (Amplified Bible)

It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not.

2 Corinthians 1:3 (Amplified Bible)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of sympathy (pity and mercy) and the God [Who is the Source] of every comfort (consolation and encouragement),

Romans 9:18 (Amplified Bible)

So then He has mercy on whomever He wills (chooses) and He hardens (makes stubborn and unyielding the heart of) whomever He wills.

Titus 3:5 (Amplified Bible)

He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing [bath] of the new birth (regeneration) and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

B. The LORD was merciful to him

"for the Lord was merciful to him;"

Luke 18:13 (Amplified Bible)

But the tax collector, [merely] standing at a distance, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but kept striking his breast, saying, O God, be favorable (be gracious, be merciful) to me, the especially wicked sinner that I am!

Romans 9:15-16 (Amplified Bible)

For He says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion (pity) on whom I will have compassion.

So then [God’s gift] is not a question of human will and human effort, but of God’s mercy. [It depends not on one’s own willingness nor on his strenuous exertion as in running a race, but on God’s having mercy on him.]

Psalms 118:1 (Amplified Bible)

O GIVE thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!

It's because of His mercies which are new every morning that we are not consumed, we are all undeserving of His goodness to us.

Psalms 90:14 (Amplified Bible)

O satisfy us with Your mercy and loving-kindness in the morning [now, before we are older], that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Matthew 9:13 (Amplified Bible)

Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy [that is, readiness to help those in trouble] and not sacrifice and sacrificial victims. For I came not to call and invite [to repentance] the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with God), but sinners (the erring ones and all those not free from sin).
