REKINDLE YOUR PASSION (PSALMS 42:1-2 )

(1.) Two-person skit: the chained, the Devil

(2.) Devil; Wraps chains around the chained

(3.) Devil” I’ve got it I’ve stolen his JOY”

(4.) Chained “ whoooa is me I’m miserable “

(5.) Devil “I’ve got his passion”

(6.) Chained: “I don’t care anymore”

(7.) Devil “I’ve got his desire”

(8.) Chained ‘I just want to quit”

(9.) Chained- Swells up- WAIT A MINUTE

(10.) Chained- I’M A CHILD OF GOD (chains fall of)

(11.) Devil screams and runs away

(12.) Chained-Now unchained” I’M covered by the blood

(13.) Devil seeks someone else to chain

2. PENTECOST:JOY and PASSION returned

TEXT: Psalms 42:1-2

As a deer gets thirsty

for streams of water,

I truly am thirsty

for you, my God.

2 In my heart, I am thirsty

for you, the living God.

When will I see your face?

INTO:

The word passion means; intense emotion such as love or joy.

Enthusiasm for something

Hunger, thirst, craving

Delight, fervency, obsession

Do we have an intense emotion of love for God?

Are we enthusiastic about serving God?

Do we hunger and thirst for God?

Do we delight to be in His presence?

Do we have fervency and even an obsession to please Him in all we do?

Christians ought to have a passion for God!

How do we find passion?

1) We connect with God.

(1.) READ HIS WORD

(2.) THROUGH PRAYER

(3.) THROUGH MEDITATION

2) We connect with community.

(1.) BE AROUND PEOPLE ON FIRE FOR GOD

(2.) REACH OUT TO THE LOST

(3.) REACH OUT TO THE HURTING

(4.) REACH OUT TO THE UNLOVED

3) We make right choices.

ROMANS 6:12-13

12 Don’t let sin rule your body. After all, your body is bound to die, so don’t obey its desires 13 or let any part of it become a slave of evil. Give yourselves to God, as people who have been raised from death to life. Make every part of your body a slave that pleases God.

Some suggestions:

1. Read your bible in the morning; afternoon; evening

2. Pray for at least five minutes a day, three times a day

3. Avoid places and people that lead you to sinful passions

4. KNOW WHO YOU ARE IN GOD

Where is our passion to come in His presence?

Where is our enthusiasm in to worship and praise?

Where is our delight in hearing the Word of God?

Where is our fervency for doing something for God?

Where is our hunger for the things of God?

LET THE CONSUMING FIRE OF GOD LIGHT A FIRE OF PASSION IN YOUR LIFE
