Rejecting Sin
Text: Hebrews 9 & 10
I have one big problem, and it is myself. Now I know I am not alone in this; I happen to believe the Bible as it is written. Written by men as moved by the Spirit of God. The medium used to convey the will of God to man is very fragile, changes as to matter of content. Word change, kinds of paper change, methods of writing change, even methods of punctuation. This is on the human side. God’s part has never changed, this is the content of the Bible message. Man delights in latching on to some word, or statement. way of spelling or nunuction. He does this to prove what can be or not be a point of doctrine and as long as it is only what can be determined to be a notion, it is very minor. Now those things that try to change (note this word, “try”) the meaning and effect of this Word of God, then this is vital.
Look around you today. After observing human actions for some time now, I BELIEVE THAT SOMEONE HAS TRIED TO ADD SOMETHING TO THE SCRIPTURES, OR HAVE TRIED TO MAKE IT MEAN SOMETHING NOT INTENDED, or revoked part of it. Still evidence is man cannot or will not live by its teachings, so he takes and leaves what he chooses.
I notice that all the levels reached in or with the concept of the 11th commandment: Thou Shall Not Be Found Out. This means:
There is nothing that is eternally right or wrong. Morality is simply relative to times and conditions. Laws are merely social rules made by present majority. Here is a line of reasoning: Minority may become the majority tomorrow, so today’s prohibitions may become tomorrow’s sanctions – so nothing wrong in breaking today’s law, it is only wrong to get caught because it may prove inconvenient to pay a large fine or serve a jail sentence. There is no moral guilt to any law violations, so be that urge: Do whatever you want to do but don’t be dumb enough to get caught, use your head, don’t get found out.
Touch each level of living and you find most claiming to be Christian. Still a belief largely that nothing is really right or wrong, just believe and it is so.
Now I want to clear something out of the way once and for all, THINKING DOES NOT MAKE ANYTHING EITHER RIGHT OR WRONG….truth existed long before human intellect. Man can only thru use of the mind discover and interpret truth, BUT IT WILL NEVER CHANGE TRUTH.
Immutable standards of the creations mortality are independent of human thinking. So it is man that must line up with this immutable standard – it cannot be broken, but man can be broken if he violates it.
Would you risk losing your religious freedom? The supreme court no longer considers your religious freedom a God given right. Courts have ruled Christian traditions unconstitutional if they are practiced in public places. Judges are reaching into areas once considered the sacred domain of the home.
The Judgement of God does not mean drought, earthquakes, fireballs or even pestilence. Cannot God’s judgement be our churches filled with more and more people professing to be born again while the sins that grieve God continue. No matter how much “worship” as such goes up in the shadow of strain glassed windows, it is overwhelmed by the stench of our sin. IT APPEARS THAT THE MORE RELIGIOUS WE BECOME, THE MORE SINFUL CONDITIONS WORSEN. CAN IT BE BECAUSE GOD’S JUDGEMENT IS ALREADY UPON US AND WE ARE WALLOWING HELPLESS IN THE MIRE OF OUR SIN?
