Summary: How much are you worth to God?

Redeemed

How much are you worth?

1st Peter 1:18-20

18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, 19 but with precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.

If you could put a price tag on yourself, how much would you say you were worth?

Do you know how much you’re worth to God?

Did you know that God bought you with a price?

Did you know that all the silver and gold in the world would not have been enough to buy you?

God paid for you with something more valuable than any treasure on earth. Do you know what it was? That’s right the life (blood) of his son Jesus.

You see Jesus died on the cross to pay the debt that you and I owe. What do I mean when I say, “the debt we owe”? That’s a good question.

You see before a person is saved he/she sins against God. How do they sin? Great question.

They break one of the Ten Commandments, and this makes a sin debt, which must be paid.

The only problem is that we have no way to pay the debt that we owe. Why can’t we just give God all the money we’ve saved? Great question.

You see God doesn’t want our money or our efforts to work off our sin debt. What does God want? Another great question. What God wants

is for us to place our faith in the finished work of his son Jesus. This is the only way to be saved.

You see God’s son Jesus came to earth, and lived a sinless life. Jesus never broke even one of the Ten Commandments. By doing this he was perfect without spot or blemish. Jesus was righteous before God. Jesus gave his life on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of the world unto God. This pleased God because the debt of sin had been atoned (paid) for. Jesus’ righteousness

Was imputed unto all that believe in him.

God said that whosoever shall believe in him (Jesus) shall not perish but have everlasting life.

What does it mean to believe in him? That’s a good question, I am so glad you asked.

One we must believe that Jesus is the Son of God. That he died for our sin debt. Jesus paid the price that we could not pay ourselves. We must also believe that God raised Jesus from the dead on the third day. This is commonly known as the Crucifixion and Resurrection.

If you believe this than you can be redeemed or saved by Jesus. Have you ever trusted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Would you like to?

This is a simple sinners prayer.

Heavenly Father I know that I have made a sin debt that I could never pay. Lord I see now that I am a sinner, and that I need a savior. Lord right now I place my faith in you and what you have done for me. Lord Jesus I believe that you are the Son of God and that you died on the cross for my sins, and that on the third day you rose from the grave. Jesus I ask you to be my Lord and Savior amen.

If you have prayed this prayer than you have been redeemed. Saved by the blood of the lamb.

Praise God for he is worthy!! May God richly bless your soul.
