Explore the promises in the word about the assurance of reclaiming all that the enemy has stolen from us!

Introduction

Have you ever felt like the enemy has stolen something valuable from your life? Are you tired of living in lack and defeat? Today, we are going to learn from the promises in God's Word about how we can recover all that the enemy has stolen from us.

I. The Enemy Under Our Feet

Jesus has given us power to overcome the enemy. In Matthew 28:18, Jesus declares that all power has been given to Him in heaven and on earth. In Luke 10:19, He gives us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy. We need to rise up in faith and boldly reclaim what the enemy has taken from us.

II. The Thief

Since the time of Adam and Eve, Satan has been stealing from God's people. Jesus referred to him as a thief in John 10:10, whose sole purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy. Satan is not interested in material possessions like cars or money, but he wants to rob us of our spiritual treasures and anything of eternal significance.

III. Living Without Purpose

God created each one of us with a purpose. When the enemy steals our purpose, we can feel lost and empty. Many people try to fill this void with drugs, alcohol, or meaningless relationships. However, true fulfillment can only be found in a relationship with God. We must recognize that Satan wants to steal our purpose for living.

IV. The Church's Loss

Even within the church, many have lost their sense of purpose and passion. Satan wants to extinguish the fire of our first love for Jesus. We may still attend church, but our zeal and intensity have diminished. This is not God's plan for us. We should be growing stronger and more passionate in our faith, not giving up or burning out.

V. Promises to Hold On To

In times of discouragement, we must hold on to the promises of God. Scripture assures us that if we believe in Jesus, our households will be saved (Acts 16:31). When we are sick, we can trust in God's promise of healing (Isaiah 53:5). Even if we have backslidden, God is faithful to forgive us when we confess our sins (1 John 1:9). We can never run out of God's promises, and He always fulfills them.

VI. David and the Enemy's Camp

The story of King David in 1 Samuel 30 illustrates how we can recover what the enemy has stolen. When David's city was attacked and his loved ones were taken captive, he encouraged himself in the Lord. He sought God's guidance and was assured that he would recover everything. With only 400 men, David went to the enemy's camp and reclaimed what was stolen from him. God even blessed him with additional blessings.

Conclusion

Just like David, we can reclaim what the enemy has stolen from us. We must be encouraged in the Lord and refuse to give up on our calling and purpose. We need to run all over the enemy's camp, declaring victory and reclaiming what is rightfully ours. Satan has no sympathy for us, but Jesus can revive our fire, restore relationships, and bring new life. With faith and determination, we can recover all that the enemy has stolen from us.
