REASONS FOR US TO REJOICE

PHILIPPIANS 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

The apostle Paul said rejoice

The Lord only knows what else he suffered, jail beatings run out of town.

We should be ashamed of our complaints and start rejoicing

(1) The Bible we heard.

Hebrews 4: 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Heard of our dear Saviour.

Heard of our deadly sins.

Heard of our doom of separation

(2) The broken heart.

Acts 2: 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

(3) The beloved house.

Luke 14: 22 And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.

23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

The praise we render

The person we reverence

The people we respect

(4) The bought heirs

Romans 8: 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

All bought by the blood

All born with a new birth

All blessed by the same book

(5) The believer’s happiness

Luke 10: 20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Name written in the book of life

Numbered among the saved with anew look

Native of heaven and God’s eternal love.

(6) Our Blessed hope.

Titus 2: 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Called up by the trmpet’sound

Caught away by our Lord and Saviour

Completion of all saved

(7) The burning Hell

Revelation 19: 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

No place for the redeemed soul
