Summary: Our prayers can be about wrong motives

A team (Who has Christians on the team)is praying to win, the other team (Who has Christians on that team) is also praying to win.

A Christian Camp is praying they will have a dry week, next door a Christian farmer is praying for rain for his crops.

Someone is praying for a love one to be released from jail, while the family of the victim is praying that person won’t be released.

How would you like to be God?

James 4:3-You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures

Amiss-wrong: incorrect, inappropriate, or not as it should be.

There have been some request I have asked, that I had no business asking for!

We Can Pray With Wrong Motives-I can pray to get a better paying job, (Which is not a bad thing) but I am asking not because I need one but because I want to buy more stuff, then am I not asking with wrong motive?

I can pray for better health, (Which is not a bad thing) but if I am going to use this good health for only my pleasure, my desires, then am I not asking with the wrong motives?

I can ask God to grow this church,(Which is not a bad thing) but if my desire is just to promote myself, then am I not asking with wrong motives?

Wanting Our Prayers To Be Seen Or Heard By People.

The one we should be concerned with, that hears us, is God!!!
