REALIZED FORGIVENESS-Part I—Luke 7:36-50
Verses :36-38 unveils the “sinner’s” gift, which is promptly challenged in :39 by the Pharisee. To which Jesus responds with a lesson in :40-50 highlighting a Pharisaical lack of spiritual insight to the truth about personal sin & forgiveness & the actions associated with appreciation.
Jesus revealed to Simon that realized forgiveness was a gauge of his relationship to God.
Our love for God is gauged by realized forgiveness.

:37—“And behold, there was a woman in the city who was a sinner; & when she learned that He was reclining at the table in the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster vial of perfume,”
Everyday Encounters
Jesus saw God working in every Encounter.

:37—“And behold, there was a woman in the city who was a sinner; & when she learned that He was reclining at the table in the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster vial of perfume,”
“Alabaster Vial/Box”—alabastron—
“Perfume/Ointment”—muron—Myrrh
:38—“& standing behind Him at His feet, weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears, & kept wiping them with the hair of her head, & kissing His feet, & anointing them with the perfume.”
“Weeping”—Repentant Sorrow—Repentant Appreciation
