Plan for: Thanksgiving | Advent | Christmas
Encourage believers to live out their faith with conviction and courage, standing out for Christ and making a difference in the world, even when it's challenging.
Good morning, family. I'm glad to see you all here today, ready to delve into God's word and learn more about how we can live out our faith in our everyday lives. Today's sermon is all about standing out for Christ and having the courage to make a difference.
We'll be diving into Luke 19:13 and Daniel 3:1-30. Let me read those for you.
Living out our faith in everyday life is not just about attending church services or participating in religious rituals. It's about allowing our faith to permeate every aspect of our lives, from our thoughts and actions to our relationships and decisions. It's about embodying the teachings of Christ in our daily interactions and activities, and letting our faith guide us in everything we do.
What does this mean?: When we talk about living out our faith, we're talking about a lifestyle that reflects our belief in God and our commitment to follow His teachings. It's about being Christ-like in our attitudes and actions, showing love, kindness, and forgiveness to others, just as Christ has shown us. It's about being honest, trustworthy, and reliable, living with integrity and uprightness, just as Christ was. It's about being humble, patient, and selfless, putting others before ourselves, just as Christ did.
Being obedient to God's commands: We need to be living according to His word. It means reading and studying the Bible regularly, praying consistently, and seeking God's guidance in all our decisions. It means striving to do what is right and pleasing to God, even when it's difficult or unpopular. It means standing up for what we believe in, even when we're standing alone.
Being a witness for Christ: This means sharing the good news of the gospel with others. It means using our gifts and talents to serve God and others, and making a positive impact in the world around us. It means being a light in the darkness, showing others the way to Christ through our words and actions.
Not always easy: It requires discipline, commitment, and courage. It requires us to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Christ. It requires us to step out of our comfort zone, face challenges and opposition, and persevere in faith. But as we do so, we experience God's presence, power, and peace in our lives. We grow in our relationship with God, become more like Christ, and make a difference in the world for His glory.
A journey: It's a process of growth and transformation, not a one-time event. It's about becoming more and more like Christ each day, as we walk with Him and learn from Him. It's about letting our faith shape us, change us, and lead us, as we strive to live for Christ and make Him known.
The power of standing out for Christ is about being different, not for the sake of being different, but for the sake of Christ ... View this full PRO sermon free with PRO
