a. Jesus knew that He was going to be betrayed and that His friends were
Run away and that He was going to give up all that He had and all that He was to take up the cross
b. Why did Jesus Radically Abandon all that he was to take up the cross?
1. So that our sight could be restored
Jesus Radically Abandon everything that he had and all that he was so that we could be set free from this prison of darkness that we have built for ourselves sin our life of sin and so we could be brought into His light.
2. So that we could be found
Jesus Radically Abandon all that He had and all that He was so that we could be found even though we had no idea that we were lost and away from Him but he still gave it all so we could be found.
3. So that He could pull us out of the ditch
He Radically Abandon all that he had and all that he was so that He could pull us out of the ditch of our lives regardless of the big nasty, dirty, muddy mess that we are in in our lives he can pull us out because we need new life.
4. So that we did not have to face the cross.
We are the one that should have faced that cross because are the ones who have broken the law and we are the ones that deserve death, but Jesus Radically Abandon everything so that we did not have to face the cross or death.
