Summary: Presbyterian

In life we all face some setbacks in one way or another. We all experiences some pain, loneliness, disappointments, rejection, or sickness. But through it all, it is a sweet relief in knowing that the hand of the Lord is there to lean on. God molds us in to great vessels with his hands so that we can be a reflection of his son Jesus Christ. Jesus promised that he will be with us to the very end of the age. So let us lean on the Lord’s hand because:

I. IN GOD'S Hand IS A PLACE OF POWER.

To say that God has hands is to say He can act with power. Habakkuk 3:4 says "rays flash from His hands". Isaiah echoes the same "His hands spread out the heavens (45:12). Exodus 7:5 - His hands shattered the enemy. With that same power, God can meet our needs and take care of us, no matter what When we think there is no answer, when we think there is no hope, God's hands will take care of us.

"It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."(Psalm 118:8). May we be reminded that the arm of flesh has disappointed many. So do we believe God's hands is more powerful than any of our problems? We better believe that... Paul assures us that we will have all our needs met by the hand of God. (Phil 4:19) "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

II. IN GOD'S HAND IS A PLACE OF LOVING .

GOD loves man that's why deliverance is the common theme that cuts throughout the Psalms. (Psalm 18:16-17) "He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me." He rescued Israel from bondage. (Exodus 13:3) "And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten." He wants to rescue us from the sin that keeps us bound. God's hands are never limited by circumstances. (Isa 59:1) "Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:". Hand of the Lord upon someone denotes favor. It was on Ezra before a hostile king. (Ezra 7:6) "This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him."

(Ezra 7:28b) "…And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me." Its my prayer that the hand of the lord intervene on your needs today.

III. In GOD'S Hand IS A PLACE OF FULFILLMENT.

We often do not experience Fulfillment. In most cases, we fail to actualize our dreams and desires. The reason behind this is because of lack of fulfillment in marriages, jobs and relationships. For us to succeed, we actually must place our lives and our situations into his hands. When we leave everything in God's hands, we find God's hands in everything because we have taken off ours. We trust God to do what is best for us. Acknowledging God is not shrugging off responsibility. It is acknowledging our helplessness and dependence on God. Whatever we commit to God's hands is in safekeeping. He will not fail us…He will not let us down! God will never let you down. He is our faithful father. I pray that you experience fulfillment in your endeavors.

Conclusion

No matter what we go through, just know and believe that we are still in the hands of the Lord.

Not only is God interested in shaping and molding, but He is also interested in putting you life back together again. Your life may have been shattered by the storms of this life, but yet God wants to put your life back together again. Psalm 37:23-24 says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and he delights in his way Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with his hand.”

Blessings,
