Summary: Some of us want rosy terrains with no boulders and terrors! Doesn’t work that way! Push past the hindrances! I said push past!

Push past your limitations!

Philippians 3:13”But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

You know what, I love to read the experiences of people who trek mountains! The challenges simply pumps energy into me! I just got to read an article in the paper this Sunday about a woman who joined a group of trekkers for a trip of a lifetime to Kanchenjunga base camp. Kanchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world and the highest in India! Boy! What a spirit! What inspired me about the entire episode was the way they pushed past the day one catastrophe! Some of us want rosy terrains with no boulders and terrors! Doesn’t work that way! Push past the hindrances! I said push past! A landslide had brought the mountain down, with high risk they went about for five hours tottering over loose boulders – a slight miss and they would tumble into the valley beneath! Yet, they pushed past! The journey midway and the last leg, gives us profound lessons for our life; she would not have been able to see the peaks of India’s highest mountains had she been flummoxed by the initial boulders! She presses on to the peak of the mountain! Hurray! I’m speaking to people who complain and whine at the slightest problem! Come on, push past your limitations! This message should excite people who would love to climb the peak! How long are you going to be stuck in the valley! Arise! I type this message around midnight on Sunday, because I want someone out there to be encouraged and come out of the pit!

Be it marriage, relationships, business, jobs and whatsoever, there are bound to be initial problems, don’t let it deter your faith or sabotage your vision, press forward! Did you hear me? Friend, through Jesus Christ you can do everything says the Word, hold on to it! Amen. The more time you spend in the Word, you would learn to press forward rather than backward, are you listening? Such is the power in His Word! You would be a conqueror and warrior and not a failure!

Friend, we are managing the show in our Abide School without supply of drinking or bore-well water for more than 4 months now; I would not have been able to write this article if everything was comfortable and wonderful. Push past the hindrances and survive without complaining. That’s the challenge! Are you surrounded by oppositions and criticisms; push past your opponents and keep moving! Don’t you ever allow the enemy to triumph over you. In order for you to be a mountain climber and risk taker, you got to keep in touch with such people who talk of success rather than the doom and gloom people. Mix with positive thinkers! Are you with me?

During the most emotional and heart breaking period of his life while Joshua was struggling after the death of his mentor Moses, the Lord looked at him and said: Joshua 1:5”No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you” You don’t need to read a book on “1000 steps to Success”, the Bible is enough!
