This sermon explores the Kingdom protocol of expressing gratitude to God, emphasizing that our thankfulness is a precious offering that enriches us spiritually.

Introduction

Good morning, family! I've got something on my heart today that I'm eager to share with you all. We're going to be talking about something that's as old as time itself, yet as fresh as the morning dew. It's about the Kingdom protocol and how we express our gratitude within that Kingdom. It's about living by that Kingdom protocol, day in and day out.

I'm reminded of a quote from one of my favorite Christian authors, A.W. Tozer. He once said, "Gratitude is an offering precious in the sight of God, and it is one that the poorest of us can make and not be poorer but richer for having made it." Isn't that just beautiful? It's a reminder that our thankfulness, our gratitude, is something that we can always give, no matter what we're going through. It's a precious gift that we can offer to God, and it makes us richer, not poorer.

Understanding the Kingdom Protocol

The Kingdom protocol, as we understand it, is a way of life. It's a set of guidelines, a code of conduct if you will, that governs how we live as citizens of God's Kingdom. It's not a list of do's and don'ts, but rather a mindset, a perspective, a way of seeing and interacting with the world. It's about recognizing that we are not of this world, but belong to a higher Kingdom, and living in a way that reflects that truth.

Now, the first aspect of the Kingdom protocol that we need to understand is the importance of praise. Praise is not just something we do on Sunday mornings, but a lifestyle, a constant attitude of the heart. It's about recognizing God's goodness in every situation, acknowledging His sovereignty in every circumstance, and expressing our gratitude for His unending love and mercy. It's about lifting our voices in song, not just when things are going well, but also when we're walking through the valley of the shadow of death. It's about proclaiming His name, not just in the sanctuary, but also in the marketplace, in the workplace, in the home.

The second aspect of the Kingdom protocol is the proclamation of His name. This is not just about saying the name of Jesus, but about declaring who He is, what He has done, and what He promises to do. It's about testifying to His power, His grace, His faithfulness. It's about making known His deeds among the nations, telling of His wondrous works, spreading the good news of His salvation. It's about standing up and speaking out, not just in the safety of our church buildings, but also in the face of opposition, in the midst of persecution, in the heat of the battle.

The third aspect of the Kingdom protocol is the recognition of His deeds. This is not just about acknowledging what God has done in the past, but about seeing what He is doing in the present and trusting what He will do in the future. It's about remembering His miracles, His signs, His wonders, and letting them inspire faith and hope in our hearts. It's about looking at the world around us, not with eyes of fear or despair, but with eyes of faith, seeing God's hand at work in every situation, in every circumstance, in every moment.

The fourth aspect of the Kingdom protocol is the exaltation of His name. This is not just about singing songs of praise, but about living lives of worship. It's about lifting up the name of Jesus, not just with our lips, but also with our lives, with our actions, with our attitudes. It's about glorifying God, not just in our words, but also in our deeds, in our relationships, in our choices. It's about striving to live in a way that reflects His character, that reveals His love, that resonates with His truth.
