I seriously doubt if anyone here tonight would say no to a fresh anointing, a new level of authority and effectiveness in the kingdom.
I believe that is the reason we are here, we recognize the need of fresh oil in our lives
That fact is we are living in such a time that we must have fresh fire in our lives.
(The devil is no longer hiding in the closet, he is in your face with every ungodly thing you can imagine We cannot be neutral, neither can we fall back on past experiences, we must contend for the miraculous, we must contend for power and the glory of God in our midst.
We must have fresh fire.
David Said: I shall be anointed with fresh oil
We say: We must be anointed with fresh oil
One of my favorite stories in the bible is where sampson retaliates against the philistines, he goes and catches 300 foxes then he ties them together in pairs, 150 pairs ( Then he puts a firebrand between their tales and turns them loose into the standing corn of the philistines.
I don’t think he had to try to encourage them or motivate them to run.
I think the implication is obvious (when your tails on fire nobody has to ask you to move)
When you have a fresh fire in your life you don’t have to be begged to worship God, or Pray, or Fast, You just want to.
You just want to read the word, You just want to go to church
How many here want to be a firebrand for God?
I found out that it’s real easy to say God I want to be on fire for you I want to be a firebrand,
while forgetting that if you want to be on fire for God (you have got to let him stick you in the fire).
Until those foxes had come into contact with the fire they were no threat to the enemy, after they had come in contact with the fire they caused mass destruction every where they went,
they left a trail of fire behind them.
I have to say this:
The devil doesn’t care how much you shout, jump, dance, talk in tongues, if you haven’t got any fire your no threat to him.
Many people mistake emotionalism for the fire:
Many people mistake sincerity for the fire:
Many people mistake passion for the fire:
The truth is the fire will make you emotional, and it will produce sincerity, and it will make you passionate.(but thats not the fire)
Most people think of the fire as something exciting, fun, where people are jumping up and down and running around, shouting and dancing.
The fact is the fire produces all of that but (very rarely does your fire come that way):
Your fire comes by walking through the fire
I’m talking to a group of people here tonight who are fire walkers
Fire has one main characteristic, it burns, it hurts:
There are many different kinds of fire:
The Fire of attacks on your ministry, the fire of divorce, the fire of being a parent with your child on drugs, the fire of sickness, the fire of attacks on your mind, or your emotions.
The fire of financial problems
Some of you here tonight have been going through the firey trial of your life:
and I’m here to tell you, to keep walking, don’t look back, don’t be discouraged your gonna make it.
Your going through because your going to.
From a God perspective the outcome of your fire is to prepare you for a place of greater effectiveness and greater influence.
Some of you right here tonight are walking talking miracles of the grace and the power of God, You are here because you kept on walking.
The flames were leaping all around you but you kept on walking
You could have been dead,, some say you should have been dead
others didn’t make it (like the 3 mighty men who threw the hebrew boys into the furnace)
but your still here because you kept on walking.
From the devils perspective (the fire is to steal your faith, to make you doubt Gods word, His intent is that you will become so affected by the natural circumstances that surround you, that you will believe what you see and feel more than what God has said.
Bible basic english
1peter 4:12 Dear brothers, do not be surprised, as if it was something strange, if your faith is tested as by fire:
13 But be glad that you are given a part in the pains of Christ; so that at the revelation of his glory you may have great joy.
I am going to say something that will be a little hard for some people to understand, because most of us think that everything God does is about us.
We see the story of the 3 Hebrew children and how they went through the fire, and came out loosed with no smell of smoke on them and how they were promoted, and we think that was the crowning moment of the story, but may the Lord help us to realize that the true crowning moment was not at the end but in the middle.
It was when the presence of Jesus was so manifested in the midst of the fire that a heathen Idol worshipping king said: I see four men loose walking (In the midst of the fire) and the form of the fourth is like unto the son of God.
See contrary to popular opinion the revelation of his glory was not at the end, but in the middle.
From a human perspective the great deliverance of these Hebrew boys becomes our focus.
But from a divine perspective we see the greatest thing that happened that day was not when they came out, (but it was while they were walking through) the midst of the fire.
The truth is the world doesn’t need to see So called super Christians who never go through anything, never experience loss or heartbreak, never fight a battle, never weep over broken dreams.
They need to see real people who are in this world but not of this world, who are able to go through the same things that the world goes through, but they don’t quit, they don’t lose it, they don’t commit suicide, they don’t end up in a mental institution.
And the only explanation for the difference is JESUS
Remember this: Just like that heathen King the world is watching us while we go through the fire.
While our focus is on the end
Their focus is in the middle
The world needs to see some firewalkers in the church
Isa 43:1-2 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
I know today that I am talking to some firewalkers
God said
Zech 13:9
I will bring the third part through the fire and refine it as silver is refined and try it as gold is tried.
I’m talking to you firewalkers today, somebody here has one more step, just one more thank you Jesus Just one more tear and your coming out, and (your coming out better, Your coming out stronger, Your coming out with a bolder faith, with a stronger testimony. with a fresh fire).
Your coming out with a personal revelation of Jesus Christ greater than you’ve ever known.
You went in sick but your coming out healed
You went in wondering if you were even called to the ministry, but your coming out with an inner confidence that can never be shaken
You went in with your ministry tied up, seemingly in neutral but your coming out into a place
Fruitfulness and effectiveness that is going to blow your mind.
You went in crying, but your coming out with joy unspeakable and full of glory.
But remember this: The revelation is in the middle
Don’t miss the revelation in the middle.
Many times we’re in such a hurry to get through the fire and out of the fire that we miss the revelation in the fire.
We know that the 3 Hebrew boys did not miss the revelation.
How do we know?
Because they did not want to come out (they had to be called out) .
Dan 3:26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.
You can reach a place in God where in the midst of the fire your fellowship with God becomes so real and so deep, that you don’t want anything to disturb it and your mind is not on getting out anymore because you’re so consumed with just knowing Jesus better.
In other words what I’m saying is:
The way to get through the fire is (The Word) The word will hold you and sustain you, The word will lift you above the power of the flames and enable you to stand where it is humanly impossible to stand and walk where it is humanly impossible to walk.
Just like it did for Peter out on that raging sea, when Jesus came walking to them on the water (Peter said Lord if it’s you bid me come) and Jesus said (Come) and on that word Peter lept from the boat to walk on the word, Because thats really what he did.
He walked on the Word.
Firewalkers are first of all and above all Word walkers.
It’s the fellowship you have with the Word of God that is going to bring you through the fire.
Finally: You reach a place where just like the 3 Hebrew boys, The only reason you come out at all is so they will know you really are alive, that you really are the same one that was thrown into the fire and that everything that came to destroy has in the end only served to refine you and loose you into a greater power with God.
