I. When You Have An Experience With The Master
· Luke 9:11 -And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.
A. People are compelled to follow the Master
· Have you ever been compelled to do something?
· You just can’t help yourself?
· These people couldn’t help themselves
· They were drawn by something greater than themselves
· They had to follow the Master....!
B. The Master receives all those that follow Him
· Receive - to receive favorably, give ear to, embrace, make one’s own, approve, not to reject
· It doesn’t matter if you are the dirtiest....
· It doesn’t matter if you are the loneliest....
· It doesn’t matter if you are the mightiest....
· It doesn’t matter if you are the lowliest....
· If you follow Him He will receive you!
· If you serve Him He will serve you!
· If you follow His example He will make you His own!
C. When the Master Speaks “stuff” happens
· Sometimes when we speak stuff happens too
· It’s not always good stuff....you know what I mean
· Our mouths are sometimes like old trash in the trash can
· But when the lips of the Master say something they speak words like...
· Peace be still!
· Be healed!
· Arise! Thy faith has made thee whole!
D. In His Presence sickness goes
· Have you ever noticed that when some people enter the room, you feel like exiting?
· All of a sudden the atmosphere just gets dark
· Storm clouds billow up over your head
· The air gets thick with a stench of yuck
· The atmosphere of yuck is the breeding ground of depression and defeat!
· The atmosphere of expectancy is the breeding ground for miracles!
· When Jesus is on the seen the atmosphere shifts
· The Pharisees couldn’t change it
· The Scribes couldn’t deny it
· The Saducees went away from Jesus as Maducees
· My Bible tells me that where 2 or 3 are gathered in His name – Matthew 18:20
· It tells me that these works and greater works will you do – John 14:12
· It tells me that the church is the body of Christ – Romans 12:5
· After Peter is told he would be the foundation of the church Jesus says whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and loosed on earth will be loosed in heaven! Matthew 16:19
II. Earthly Demand Will Never Be Greater Than Heavenly Supply!
· John 6:8-9 - 8One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him,
9There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?
A. Even people that go to church don’t see spiritually all of the time
· Andrew was around Jesus...he experienced the supernatural
· Sometimes it’s easy to overlook the obvious things God has done
· God blessed me with a car, a house, a family...
· For some God has healed a cancer, a disease, a broken limb...
· We can so busy that we overlook the obvious
· We can be so focused on what we want that we can miss the boat
B. Sometimes the supply comes from unlikely places
· Don’t shoot the delivery boy – Roasted Pastor, Pastor Kabob
· God uses donkeys
· God uses children
· God uses anyone he wants
· Don’t despise the provision
· God is not limited to what the eye can see
· God will not always let you know the recipe for the miracle
· How many of you know that sometimes you just gotta have faith
C. Miracles don’t come from seeking a miracle
· When momma’s cooking chocolate cookies I don’t really how she made them
· I start licking the mixer spoons...
· I know that its brown
· I don’t care it just taste good
· When the cookies come out I don’t have to inspect them
· I just eatem!
· Cookies don’t cook themselves
· I could search after the cookies, but after I ate them, they’re gone
· But If I know momma....I can get a batch whenever I want
· We have to seek after the Miracle worker not the miracle
III. If You Have A Need He Has The Answer
· Mark 6:42-43 - 42All of them ate as much as they wanted.
43When they picked up the leftover pieces, they filled twelve baskets with bread and fish.
A. He supplies your needs
· Matthew 6:25-32 - 25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
B. He can supply your desires
· John 15:7-8 - If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
· You have to abide in Him
· You have to have His words in You
· Now when you ask you are asking for things He would ask for
· Now when you are expecting it is for things that are for the Kingdom’s sake
· Why? Vs8
C. He is the God of more than enough
· They had their fill and then had some left
· God is not stingy with His supply
· If He can trust you He can bless you
· If you have a need He has the supply!
