Summary: there is no waivering in God.

Confidence

Hebrews 10: 35Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 36For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 37For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Your confidence, Paul wrote has a great recompense of reward. The word confidence here is also the greek word that is used for boldness. Being Bold has great recompense of reward.

Boldness comes with knowledge. When someone is bold, it is usually because they are absolutely convinced in what they are believing. The more knowledge that someone has on any particular subject, the more likely that they will fight to the bitter end about their case.

Niv- don’t throw away your confidence, it will be greatly rewarded.

When the council had put Peter and John on trial for speaking the words of life unto the lame man at the gate called beautiful, the bible says in Acts 4:13 that when the men saw the confidence of Peter and John they were amazed. Because they knew that they were uneducated men.

Because of the confidence that they had, they were released, but commanded not to preach this Jesus anymore.

Heb.3:6 but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house—whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.

Paul goes as far as to say, if we hold fast to our confidence, and the boast of our hope firm unto the end, that we will indeed become the House of God.

1 Jn. 3: 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God;

22 and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.

The bible tells us that we are to go boldly with confidence unto the throne of grace. We are no longer bound outside of the veil, but we now have access to come boldly, with confidence to the throne.

We are no longer on the outside looking in, but we are now able to enter into the holy of holies. When Christ gave up the ghost, and the veil was rent at the temple from top to bottom, he gave you and I the authority, and boldness to come before the throne.

It is a lie from the pit of hell that tells you that you are not worthy to come before God in prayer, and that your prayers will not be heard. God said I have called you, I have justified you, and I paid the price so that you can come to me.

Cast not away your confidence- Don’t forget whose child you are. I am who God says I am, I can do what God says I can do, I can have what God says I can have.

The confidence that we have, is that we are children of God, and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. The enemy does not want for you to know who you are.

Text

For you have need of patience, that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. The bible says that patience is a fruit of the spirit, and a necessity to show that you are Christ’s.

Patience shows that you have a spirit that relies upon Christ. It also shows your level of trust in God and his word. A patient person will get prayed for, and then begin to confess that he or she is healed, despite what the circumstances may look like. As they confess their healing, they are showing others around them their level of faith.

Paul said you have need of patience, so that you can receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come, will come, and will not tarry. He that shall come, will come, and will not tarry. He who has began a good work in you, shall continue it until the day of Christ Jesus our Lord.

God says that his word can not fail. That he is not a man that he should lie, nor the son of man that he should repent.

Just a little while…. Jesus said, he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved. There is something to be said about a person who endures. Paul told Timothy to endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Just as Christ endured the hill of calvary, and all of the afflictions, persecutions, slanders, and abuses, we as Christians also have to endure some things.

The book of Isaiah tells us this. Has thou not known, have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary, there is no searching of his understanding.

He gives power to the faint, and to them that have no might, he increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strengths, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.

God said you will grow weary, and at times you will fall, but the important thing is that you wait upon the Lord.

Its in the waiting process that your faith can grow. Its in the waiting process, and the trials of your faith that your strength will grow. Jesus said My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

Its only a little while.

The thing about an eagle. The bible promises that you will mount up with wings as eagles- an eagle goes through the storm, and still flies. It will use the force of the storms to propel itself upward, until the storm us under it.

Text:

Now the just shall live by faith, but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. Anything that is not of Faith is sin. Anytime that you begin to speak a word, and it does not line up with the word of God, it is sin.

Its interesting to me that almost every time that you find the word patience in the bible, you will also find the word Faith. There is a difference in between having faith, and being faithful.

Faith is a gift of God, and faithfulness is a fruit of God. The bible says that the just shall live by faith. This is recorded at least 5 times in the scripture. The just shall live by faith. Faith is going forward, despite the circumstances.

The bible says that a righteous man falls down 7 times, but he gets back up again.

The just shall live by faith. The just shall live by the promises of God. The bible says that without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition, but of them who believe of the saving of the soul.

Paul writes, we are not of those who say they live for Christ, but live another way, but we are of them who talk it, and walk it. People don’t want to hear what it is that you are talking, but they want to see how it is that you are walking.

The just shall live by faith. Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen, for by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen, were not made of things which do appear.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of things we do not see.

Go back with me if you will, to v 37

The thing that God has promised to you in your life, is only a little while off. V 37 says for yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry

Habakkuk 2:1-4

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. 2And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. 4Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

I will withdraw myself from every other distraction in my life, and focus upon what God is saying to me.

The vision that God has given to you, is not far off. The word that has been spoken over your life is just a little while off, it will not tarry. Wait for it. Wait for it. Your blessing may have been delayed, but it has not been denied.

The vision is yet for an appointed time. Keep living by faith. Keep waiting, the thing that everyone else said was going to be a dud, is about to become the greatest explosion of your life.

Don’t draw back, don’t give in, don’t give out, and don’t give up now. You’ve already been through too much. God does not have time for quitters in his Army.

Keep your confidence, because it has great recompense of reward. Keep pressing in

Woman with the issue-Blind Batemaeus. Keep pressing on. The race is not given to the swift, nor the reward to the speedy, but to he that endures to the end.
