Today I want us to remember that God created the world in Six days. Out of nothing He spoke every thing into existence.
It is in fact the worlds birthday according to Jewish tradition today “Rosh Hashanah” 5767.
Everything that we see in creation is an expression of the heart of God. Because before it existed the only place it could be seen was in the heart of God.
Miracles for you and for the world are still hid in the heart of God. We need to get these out of His heart and see them activated in the lives of men!
There are things hidden in the heart of God, which we can only dream of, and then the scripture says that not even our dreams are full enough to reveal the things He has planed
EPHESIANS 3:20 Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.
2 CORINTHIANS 2:9-10 “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”* 10 But we know these things because God has revealed them to us by his Spirit, and his Spirit searches out everything and shows us even God’s deep secrets.
During the week I spoke with a client who had been very successful in business, He had made Millions in his field, and continues to make millions. In the course of our meeting he had reason to speak to a young business man in his late 20’s who had just experienced what he thought was an insurmountable hurdle in his business life. The older experienced man shared with him from his heart, He shared some of his huge failures, some of his exiting gains, and some of his future hopes. By the end of the conversation the young man had a new vision and new dreams for the future, why? Because he had drawn out the things in the older mans heart, and was now seeing new possibilities.
Our challenge as Sons and Daughters of God is to draw out the things that are in Gods heart, and to see them accomplished in our world!
As a Father, the thing that would please me most is seeing my Children trying to pull out of me, the experience of life. Because I have learnt that even the most humble of men have an amazing story to tell, and their life experience is worth listening to.
If this is the case with men, then how much more is it the case with God! He has so much hidden in his heart that he wants to share with us.
I heard a testimony recently but can’t remember who shared it, (so please forgive me if it was you)
In the vision this person saw Jesus with a new wineskin full of wine tied around his neck, the wine was flowing out of the wineskin and going all over the robes of Jesus, The person was very thirsty and was thinking, “Jesus has wine, why doesn’t he offer me some he must know that I thirst” In the finish he said, “Jesus can I please have a drink? And the Lord gladly offered him the wineskin, and he took deep swigs of sweet wine. When he had finished he said to Jesus “You knew I was thirsty, why didn’t you offer me a drink? Jesus replied, Ï was waiting for you to ask me!”
We need to ask lots of questions of our heavenly Father!
But Job learnt that we need to ask the right kind of questions, the type of questions that will draw out of God the things hidden in His heart.
Jobs questions related to himself and his situation, yet in the midst of his problems there was nothing offensive in his thinking or speaking, He just wasn’t seeing God! And from Chapter 38 of Job God challenges Job and shares with him what is really in His heart.
The wonders of His creation and how it all works, that’s what’s in Gods heart! Because if we see into the heart of the creator we will see his purpose and his love!
Its all in there to be drawn out!
Job replied to God.
Then Job replied to the LORD: JOB 42 2 “I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you. 3 You ask, ‘Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorance?’ It is I. And I was talking about things I did not understand, things far too wonderful for me.4 “You said, ‘Listen and I will speak! I have some questions for you, and you must answer them.’ 5 “I had heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. 6 I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.”
When we are teenagers we think we know everything! The opinion of our Fathers don’t count, as we enter our 20’s we begin to see that our father has some good stuff to say, in our 30’s & 40’s we seek his advise more often, when we are 50 we realise our Father has much more to offer than we realised, and wish we had asked more questions along the way.
As I get older in the Lord, I realise there is much I need to know from my heavenly Father. And how little I know myself!
Sadly for me my Earthly Father is no longer alive. I cannot ask his advise or seek his years of wisdom.
But the Lord our heavenly Father is much greater and far wiser.
Isa 55: 6 Seek the LORD while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. 7 Let the people turn from their wicked deeds. Let them banish from their minds the very thought of doing wrong! Let them turn to the LORD that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8 “My thoughts are completely different from yours,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. 9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.10 “The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. 11 It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.
When we seek the Lords wisdom, there is a collision of thinking! Because there is a collision of Kingdoms. We live in the Kingdom of the world, whereas God rules all the kingdoms of heaven and earth.
So when we ask God a Question, we must be humble enough to receive the answer! Because if we ask a question from this Kingdom, the answer will collide with our thinking.
It’s always been that way. The Pope this week made some statements that reflect the kingdom of God, and his words collided with the Kingdom of Islam!
A King was born in Bethlehem and it caused a collision with Rome
The Miracle at Canna caused a collision with Physics
The Healing of the sick causes a collision with infirmity
The driving out of Demons causes a collision with the second heaven
The calming of the elements causes a collision with nature
Healing on the Sabbath causes a collision with religion
Raising the dead causes a collision with death
The mistake we make as Christians, is that we forget that when we ask questions of God and he sends the answers,
Things change ~Substance changes ~ Kingdoms change ~ Darkness changes to light ~ History changes.
Christians are not meant to be a sandal wearing group of pacifist’s content with the status quo, but rather a group of radicals who seek to find the heart of God in every situation. World shakers and kingdom takers.
We don’t have to take over the world with blood shed and destruction, we just need to find the answers in the heart of God. Answers that will break down walls, and introduce the Kingdom of God to men sitting in darkness.
In the movie Teresa of God, the scene that impacted me more than any other was the one in which Teresa had taken over a building dedicated to the destructive Kali. The followers of Kali demanded she be driven out and killed. A spokesman went in and saw Teresa nursing the dying, tending to the needs of the sick and poor, and showing the love of the Father to all. When he was confronted with such compassion he was overcome and withdrew, when the mob said “Well are we going to kill her and drive out her followers? The man replied, “When I see our daughters and mothers doing what that woman is doing in the name of God then we will drive her out, in the mean time leave her be, for she works for someone much higher than us”
In this manner the Kingdom of God was extended and the heart of the Father was revealed!
Cultures collided ~ religions collided ~ The heart of God was revealed!
We need to express the heart of God in our marketplace, in our street, in our School The sick should be healed, the dead should be raised, the oppressed should be set free.
The Gospel without signs and wonders is no Gospel at all.
On this Rosh Hashanah weekend, as we celebrate the world’s birthday, a world that was hidden in the heart of God, let us make a decision to draw everything else in the heart of God out.
Two months ago the Lord carried me in the Spirit over our Capital city Wellington, I saw the city surrounded by an Angelic army, I saw a city under siege. At that moment I saw the heart of God for NZ, He wants to rule the nation and to see his government established in righteousness. I saw a collision coming, and the past two weeks in NZ politics has been one collision after another, and it hasn’t finished yet. Our job is not to be critical but to find the heart of God and to work with the hosts of heaven to see the Glory of God released! This is New Zealand’s hour!
PSALM 65:8 Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders.
In the same vision I saw the Marsden cross and I saw the heart of God for NZ as far as the Gospel is concerned.
I have been there twice in recent weeks to declare the heart of God, there have been three earthquakes all centred near the Marsden cross in the past week. The last time there was an earthquake in that part of Northland was 1963, prior to that 1919. now we have 3 in one week. The heart of God is being revealed, there is a collision of Kingdoms, there is a shaking of the ground, but Gods heart is being revealed. He had a plan in his heart in 1814 when the gospel was first preached by Samuel Marsden and he has a plan now! We just need to find the heart of God.
Also in the vision I was carried over Thames and Corremandel I saw a rich seam of Gold running the length of the peninsular, my first thought was “The resource management act will never allow us to get that Gold out of the ground!” and the Holy Spirit spoke quickly reading my thoughts, Ï will shake the ground and the gold will be revealed” Its in the heart of God it will be released! When I’m not sure.
I saw Christchurch in the vision; I saw it as a city full of the glory of God. I heard a voice say. “In this city named for me I will release my Glory as never before seen in the earth” This is the heart of God for the city of Christchurch. It will cause a collision of kingdoms.
There was more also but I don’t feel to share it at this time.
As we enter 5767 be prepared to draw on the heart of God for your home, for your street, for your city, and for your nation
JOB 42 2 “I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you.
5 “I had heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.
Its time to look into the heart of God!
