‘Be careful how you think, your life is shaped by your thoughts’ Proverbs 4:23
Most people who want to become better person were unsuccessful in their pursuit for change because of the way they think about themselves. How we think or see ourselves will affect the way we treat ourselves, handle problems , deal with relationships and even relate to God. When Jesus came to die and rose from the dead, He offered man not only Salvation but also the power to be set free from factors that control and prevent us from becoming the Winning person that God wants us to be.
Truths to Think about. .
• Jesus Christ is the only solution who can set us free from our sinful and unwholesome behaviors. We experience this freedom when we surrender our life to Him. ( John 8:36; Galatians 5:1 )
• One of the things that Jesus will set us free is to release us from the lies that have stayed in our minds and have been controlling us.
• Our lives are shaped by what we think. What we think is a deposit of thoughts, ideas and perception we have received from our past, family, friends, the devil and other factors that we have allowed to control our lives.
• Since most of our unpleasant behavior are products of lies in our minds, God’s way of destroying them is to confront them with His Word of Truth. ( John 8:32 )
