A Day in the Life of God
What is God doing today?
Part 1—God is observing
I. The Eyes of the Lord
A. God is looking for ways to display His strength today in the lives of those who are righteous.
2Ch 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.
What is a perfect heart?
1. A surrendered heart.
2. A humble heart
3. An obedient heart
4. A faithful heart
The promise is that God continually looks for ways to demonstrate His power and ability in the lives of those whose heart is perfect toward Him.
The reason we do not often see the power of God demonstrated in our day is because few people are living with a heart that is right with God. Statistics indicate that the majority of people who attend church do not bear any of the fruits of the Spirit, do not tithe, pray, or read the Bible.
B. God is watching over His people today.
Ps 34:15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
C. God is observing and pondering the ways of humanity.
Pr 5:21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
D. God is observing all human activity.
Pr 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
E. God is actively preserving knowledge today.
Pr 22:12 The eyes of the Lord keep guard over knowledge and him who has it, but He overthrows the words of the treacherous. (Amplified Bible)
