We believe that Jesus’ Kingdom message & ministry continues today. Touching & saving & transforming & healing our lives. That ministry of Jesus is TRANSFERABLE to you & me as followers of Christ.

We want to learn to enter into HIS MINISTRY!

To follow Jesus into His ministry...you must be INTENTIONAL! It doesn’t just happen.

Our goal this fall is to "go back to school" JESUS-SCHOOL!

WORKS: Beginning the week of Sept 17...LIFE-GROUPS (mid-week home groups) will be following up & putting into practice what we’re learning.

Our intention is this....

Train YOU to be a “hands-on” ambassador of the Kingdom of God!

Have a theology of the Kingdom (a biblical grounding)

Empowered Evangelicals. Not just Pentecostal, Not just Evangelical, but the best of both worlds.

Have a safe place to LEARN & GROW (a learning environment) where you can learn to pray out loud, hands-on with people. Naturally supernatural…just living life with Jesus next to you LEARN & GROW in the company of others (community).

We’re going to run through a few KEY scriptures today from the Gospels, showing you the TRANSFERABLE KINGDOM MINISTRY of JESUS.

Luke 4: 14-21

Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about Him spread through the whole countryside. He taught in their synagogues, and everyone praised him. He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, and he began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Matthew 9: 35-38

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Luke 9: 1-6

When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, 2 and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. 3 He told them: “Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra tunic. 4 Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. 5 If people do not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave their town, as a testimony against them.” 6 So they set out and went from village to village, preaching the gospel and healing people everywhere.

Luke 10: 1-9

After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road. “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you. Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. “When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God is near you.’

Matthew 28: 18-20

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Do you see the progression?

Do you see how Jesus transfers HIS ONE MINISTRY to HIS followers?

Could Jesus’ Kingdom Ministry of WORDS & WORKS be transferable to the 250-300 people attending Father’s House Vineyard here in Cedar Rapids??

Over the next ten weeks, we want YOU to seriously ask yourself these questions.

What if the answer is YES?

What if Jesus is desiring ALL OF HIS FOLLOWERS to intentionally step up into HIS MESSAGE. HIS MINISTRY? HIS KINGDOM WORDS? HIS KINGDOM WORKS?

If the answer is YES. Let’s go. Let’s do this thing. Let’s stop playing church and doing church as we know it....and begin to ask JESUS how to do HIS STUFF....

Not just in church...but in our world....our circle of influence.
