Recently CNN had their religion editor defining and
describing for the general public what some "extreme"
(their words) groups were calling the "end of the world as we know it." I thought it amazing that
although slanted, there were scriptures and definitions of end time happenings showed over the
most watched network in the world. MANY are wondering
about end time events. WHAT’S NEXT?? LET’S READ
OUR TEXT (I Thessalonians 4:13-18) and examine what
is known as the "rapture". Let’s examine:
I. The SUDDENNESS (cf I Corinthians 15:51ff)
a. in a moment
b. in the twinkling of an eye.
c. we shall be "caught up" (raptured)
II.The SOUNDS (I Thess 4:13-18)
a. Voice of the Archangel
b. Trumpet of God
III.The SCENES ( I Thess 4: 13-18)
a.Dead in Christ will rise first
b.We who are alive shall be "caught up" with them
to meet the Lord in the air.
IV. The SECURITY (I Thess 4:17-18)
"and so shall we EVER BE with the Lord!"
INV:
1. Are you ready for the rapture???
2. Jesus says "be ready..no one knows the day
nor the hour."
3. Be ready by
a. realizing your sin
b. repenting of your sin
c. receiving JESUS CHRIST PERSONALLY into your
heart by FAITH.
