PS.100:1-5
1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
WALKING WITH A THANKFUL HEART. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
What does the word Thankful Mean?
Webster says it this way…………
#1 An expressing of gratitude
#2 A grateful acknowledgment of something received by or done for one.
The Heb word is “Yadah” it means To confess and give Praise and offer Thanks.
It over laps with another word “Halal” means to Public Worship and to affirm and renew their relationship with God.
QUESTION.
If your house was on fire and you were asleep and your next door nebior came and woke you up for your sleep and saved your life. WOULD YOU BE GREATFUL?, WOULD YOU BE THANKFUL? WOULD YOU ALWAYS REMMBER HIM? EVERY TIME YOU THOUGHT ABOUT THAT FIRE, WOULD YOU THINK ABOUT THE MAN THAT WOKE YOU UP?
I WANT TO SHARE SOME THOUGHTS WITH YOU.
#1 A THANKFUL PERSONS WILL NOT COMPLAIN
STORY
I Found myself Praying for a Job, and wanted it real bad, gave all I had into Prayer. And I got the Job, and soon after I found myself very unhappy with it, and it was’t long I found myself Talking to other’s and telling them how Bad the Job was, It went on and on and then one day it hit me. I had not one time ssaid THANK YOU LORD FOR THE JOB. And then It hit me that I was not so thankful for that Job as I should have been.
#2 A THANKFUL PERSON IS NOT GREEDY.
You can know that a thankful person will always be willing to give to God, because he know where his source is from and all that he has came from the Lord.
#3 A THANKFUL PERSON WILL ALWAYS BE READY TO TELL OTHERS WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE FOR HIM.
QUESTION.
How thankful are we?
When is the last time you said to the Lord, Thank you for saving me?
Oh give thanks unto the Lord all you people.

OUR TEXT.LUKE 17:11-19
11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
LETS LOOK AT VERSE #17 AGAIN……WERE THERE NOT 10 CLEANSE?
OH WHERE ARE THE OTHER NINE? WHERE ARE THE ONES THAT CAME AND GAVE THERE HEARTS TO THE LORD? Where are the ones that once serve him in all they done.
COULD IT BE THAT PART OF THE OTHER NINE ARE AMONG THIS LIST.

WE ALL HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON WITH THE TEN….
#1 WE ALL WERE INFLICTED WITH A DISEASE CALLED SIN.
#2 WE ALL ARE GOING TO DIE.
#3 WE ALL HAVE NO HOPE APART FROM CHRIST AND HIS BLOOD.
WHERE ARE THE OTHER NINE?
I WANT US TO LOOK AT 3 EVIDENCES OF A THANKFUL HEART.
OUR TEXT AGAIN. LUKE 17:11-19
WHAT CAN WE LEARN FORM THIS ONE THAT CAME BACK.
#1 As we look close into the story we see that His Thankfulness was PUBLISHED By his “worship.”
Verse 15 and 16…..
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan
He came back once he saw he was clean.
OH WHERE ARE THE OTHER NINE, THAT WAS WASH BY HIS BLOOD? WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
#2.. LUKE 18:35-43 A MAN WHO WAS IN DARKNESS
35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THIS MAN?
VERSE 43……..HIS THANKFULNESS WAS PUBLISHED BY HIS “WALK”
As I think back when I ask christ into my heart, there was nothen the could stop me it seem like I was so on fire by knowing what he had done for me I wanted to follow him where every he went, and so it is eith many other’s. BUT THE QUESTION IS, OH WHERE ARE THE OTHER NINE NOW?
#3 LUKE 8:26-39.. A MAN WHO WAS DEMONIC
26 And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.
27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.
28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.
29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.
32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.
33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.
34 When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.
35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
36 They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.
37 Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again.
38 Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,
39 Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.
40 And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received
What can we learn from this story?
Verse 39……… HIS THANKFULNESS WAS “PUBLISHED” BY HIS “WITNESS”
Thank back with me with me when you met christ, you just wanted to tell every one what he had done for you. Praise his Holy name.
Story.
Many of you know the story of me when I was blind and was told by 3 doctors that I would never see again. I spent 6 and half months blind with no hope to ever see again, learning each day to read bral and in suit for a eye seeing Dog, and how I god to tuch me and heal me and I made a deal with him. In this statement “ god if you will give me my sight back I will give you my life. And he chose to do just that and I came 30 days later with 20/20 vision………..and now its been 25 years and I just love telling the story of how he heal me and he made me hole again……….
I don’t know about any of you but as for me I want to be a witness for him Amen.
QUESTION…..OH WHERE ARE THE OTHER NINE?
LET ME CLOSE WITH THIS QUESTION.
WHEN IS THE LAST TIME YOU JUST SAID THANK YOU LORD FOR SAVING ME?
WHEN THE LAST TIME YOU JUST CAME TO HIM AND JUST MADE A PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING AND NOT ASKING FOR ANYTHING?
I want to conclude with this story. The lawyer…….
There was a lawyer who was a very thankful person and in his office he had a picture of a fence post with a Turtle on top of the post. And one day one of his friend ask him about it and what was the reason he had it on his wall in such a nice place. His Reply was that when I look at that picture and see that Turtle I know that he had to have help getting there on that post. And it reminds me each day to be Thankful for all I have, and to know that I did’t get here by myself, I too had to have help. And that help was from God. AND I AM TRULY THANKFUL………………..
