"THE GREATEST ANNOUNCEMENTS EVER MADE"
John 1:14
When I was a boy, I lived in Tennessee with my grandmother. I remember the day that the announcement came over the radio that the war was over in Japan. My grandmother dropped to her knees and wept. That was a wonderful ANNOUNCEMENT. It meant that her son could come home.
I served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. We were sailing on a Navy Destroyer about 12,000 miles from home when our captain came on the speaker and said, "We have just received word to return to UNCLE SUGAR (The good old USA). That announcement went through that ship like wild fire – WE’RE GOING HOME. That was a wonderful announcement to me and the men on that ship.
A. There have been some great announcements made in this world. I am sure you can think of many that thrilled your soul.
B. This morning I want us to think about the greatest announcements ever made. I must admit that I am bias. I think they are found in the Bible.
T/S Today I would like to share with you some of the greatest announcements you will find anywhere. I won’t share all of them. You may things of some that I do not have listed but for the time we have this morning – let me share these.

LUKE 24: 1-5 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher.
And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them, in shining garments;
And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them,
WHY SEEK YE THE LIVING AMONG THE DEAD? HE IS NOT HERE, BUT IS RISEN!
V. THE PROCLAMATION OF JESUS ABOUT THE COMFORTER.
JOHN 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever;
JOHN 14:26 But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

VI. THE PROCLAMATION OF THE TWO ANGELS AT THE ASCENSION OF OUR LORD.
