Throughout my ministry, I have stated that there are some people that I could not convince if I had logical arguments stacked five feet deep on one side and Scriptural proof stacked on the other with Jesus standing behind me giving the thumbs up sign. It actually goes back to an old saying. "Don’t confuse me with the facts my mind is made up." Humans are rather bullheaded and stiff necked. Just look at Scripture and secular history and it will be easy to prove. We always say that the majority rules but the majority has been wrong most of the time. Even in recent secular history if we had ridden the wagon of the majority, there would be no steamboats, electricity, cars, planes, or space travel for the majority mocked all the inventors of these things.
We also seem to be extremists when it comes to change. We are either those who flit about from one new thing to another or it takes dynamite to move us. Balance is not one of humanity’s strong suits. When confronted with something that challenges our beliefs we either quickly abandon our faith/beliefs or we blow off the issue without studying the argument. Again, balance is needed.
Huxley once said that there were only two possibilities for our existence, either evolution or creation. He readily admitted that there were holes in the theory of evolution but ridiculed creation as being absolutely impossible. In reality, he only believed in one possible origin though he said there were two. No evidence to the contrary would have convinced him.
I grew up with a nominal religious teaching that would have included creation but was educated in a public school where evolution was still taught as a theory not a fact like today. We still had prayer and Bible readings. I must have been a theistic evolutionist because while I was not very religious I did believe in God but accepted evolution as the means and even the possibility of us being spawn of aliens. Now that I am a true Christian and not just one in name only I see that evolution is not valid even in a theistic perspective. The evidence is just not there. Yet, like our research friend in the quote above a true evolutionist will not see the facts before his eyes because they would have to abandon their worldview and indeed their faith. They can keep digging and they will not prove their theorem but even if they dig up a find so startling that just shoots evolution in the head they will not see the fact. They will dance around it.
Rom 1:18-25
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (KJV)
Heb 11:1-3
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (KJV)
God catches the wicked in their own craftiness. Centuries before the microscope and evolution Paul tells us that the things we see are built by things we do not see. Yes, before Christ the Godhead was invisible most of the time. Yet, we can see physical proof because the very building blocks that God used were unseen until only recently. Turning away from God and making things of His creation gods is nothing new. In the old days it was the various gods of the pagans that were either man like or animal or a mixture of both. Now the false gods are the amino acids in the primordial soup and of course the simian ancestor. There is nothing new under the sun. Only the names are changed to protect the guilty and the father of all lies. It is much easier to have faith in God who created man than the manmade gods. There is just far more evidence for the former than the latter.
God never intended for us to empirically prove Him. Where would the need be for faith then? He gives us enough evidence to trust Him and no more. I don’t think that Noah’s ark will ever be found for we would only turn it into an idol like the brazen serpent that had to be destroyed. The shroud of Turin is a fake for the same reason. It is a piece of cloth. God requires faith not pilgrimages to places and relics.
Many of the proponents of evolution were raised in a nominal Christian home or some other faith so they at least had heard of God or knew of Him but turned away from that knowledge. Most kids that are raised in Christian homes but attend public school leave the faith three years after they graduated because they are indoctrinated in the religion of man that exalts the creature and denies the Creator. It is because they knew God in their minds but not in their hearts else they could see the folly and errors of evolution. The professors will be held accountable but so shall their students. Truth was readily available and they chose the lie.
II Th 2:8-12
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (KJV)
The push towards Intelligent Design is maybe a step in the right direction but not much of one. What if aliens created our known universe and us? That would be intelligent design but then where did they come from. At some point we still come back to the old question, eternal matter or eternal God? If eternal matter, then it is still evolution even if a higher evolved race created us so the evolutionist is not really challenged or threatened by the theorem. If eternal God, then even if there were another alien race God created them.
I am not totally sure what lie God will turn people over to when the Anti-Christ comes. After the Rapture you will have to explain how millions of people became missing in an instant. We have numerous Sci-Fi shows that show humans ascending into higher planes of existence, being abducted by aliens and similar scenarios. Contrary to the Left Behind series anyone who heard the Gospel and rejected it before the Rapture will not have a second chance per this passage. They missed the age of grace and are doomed. Will the lie be alien abduction? Will that be the crisis that gets folks to worship the Anti-Christ along with the wonders? Some will only need the false miracles since so many are followers of false prophets already. Will they see him as a prototype of the next evolutionary step in man? Maybe, but whatever it is those who rejected the Truth now won’t be able to accept it then.
Do not be blinded to the truth by flowery speeches of men who still perpetuate the known frauds to deceive people into believing evolution. Be careful of evolution based "science" falsely so-called and science fiction shows that elevate man and denigrate Christ and His followers. Beware of false prophets with lying miracles. That blindness is ultimately fatal. Receive the truth now and be one of missing one day instead of being one given over to a lie. Maranatha!
