Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
Matthew 16:18
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
In these three verses of the Bible, you will find gate mentioned in three contexts
“…thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies”
“…….for he hath broken the gates of brass”
“…….the gate of hell shall not prevail”
Beloved, it is time for Christians to wake up from what l call “Satanic Slumber” Unless we storm the camp of the enemy and plunder his gates and bring him to submission, it will be impossible to enjoy all our benefits. If we do not become spiritually violent, the sons of disobedience will take over our benefits. If you had thoroughly read the bible, you will find out that gates are made for cities to connote, Entrances (1king17) or for houses (Luke 16) or Temples (Acts 3) Prisons (Acts 12) Camps (Ex 32), Beaches/River bank (Nahum 2) or Palaces (Esther 5).
There are many symbols in the Bible and you will find out that the chief places where important decisions are taken, are the gates of cities. Sometimes,they also function as courts of justice. When people want to sell or buy land, it is at the gates you will find them.
General proclamations are made at the gates; the council running the city meets there and conferences are held there too. Public condemnation of people is made at this point and when the enemy wants to attack a city, the area of concentration is the gate that is why experienced officers are placed there. Also, idolatrous people perform their rites there. Criminals are punished there. Gates are shut at night.
WHAT IS A GATE?
Spiritually, it is the meeting place of the wicked spirits and men. It is an assembly ground where decisions and deliberations are made, where information is passed and action is taken. It is a place of satanic assembly, a house of satanic parliament where wickedness and destruction are planned and the devil assembles his demons and territorial for wicked purposes.
It also regulates entrance and exit into and out of a city.
It determines what time people can or cannot come in.
A gate is the totality of the government and socio-economic life of a city. In the spirit, it has a very heavy meaning which l had tried to explain above. I would like you to follow closely and pray the prayer points that are in this message fervently.
Genesis 28:10-18
And Jacob went out from Beer-sheba, and went toward Haran. [11] And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. [12] And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. [13] And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; [14] And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. [15] And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
[16] And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not. [17] And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. [18] And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.
How did this place become the gate of heaven?
Genesis 12:7-8
And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the Lord, who appeared unto him. [8] And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the Lord, and called upon the name of the Lord.
This is the same place where many years later, Jacob came and found that the Lord was there. Abraham had already built an altar there, which made the place become a gateway to heaven.
Beloved, altars are spiritual gateways that permit spiritual traffic.
In this case, the altar that Abraham built many years ago, made the place become a gate of heaven which permitted traffic from heaven.
Immediately, you start erecting an altar to the Lord, you open a gate into heaven. No wonder, Jacob said; “surely, the Lord is in this place, this is none other but the house of God and this is the gate of heaven” He said this because there was a traffic of angels who were going up and down.
If Abraham had built an altar to the devil instead, what Jacob would have seen would be a different traffic of demons going in and out.
Therefore altars and shrines which are very common in our environment are gates, open to demons.
If as a person an altar has been erected against you, it means that a demonic traffic controller has been put in place and demons keep going up and down because of you. So, the gate of evil will continually release evil angels and demons into a person’s life because an evil altar has been erected against that person.
When there is a shrine in your family house, it opens the gate to the enemies and they keep coming and going in and out.
DEMONIC FRUIT SACRIFICES
When you gather bananas, oranges and all kinds of things and take them to what you call a church, all you have done is to offer sacrifice and from that altar you have erected, a gate is opened directly to the second heavens to the house of demons and they keep coming and going in and out, there is a traffic.
THE GENESIS OF POVERTY IN NIGERIA
Many years ago, we did not really have financial problems in Nigeria. Some leaders even said the problem of this nation was not lack of money but how to spend it. Our problems started in 1977 when all the demons in Africa were invited into this country in the guise of a festival. The altars that were erected then are still being pulled down through prayers and they are yet to finish.
Those living in the festival town understood these things have stopped calling the place “Festac town” They call it “favour city”, after having prayed seriously. That other name is a remembrance of the time when Nigeria invited demons and idols and opened various gates to the devil.
At a time, there was the Festac symbol on our N1 note. Where other people have “In God we trust” on their money, we had the symbol of an idol. Now there are financial problems because our money had gates opened to poverty. This issues of gates is very serious.
Psalm 24:7-10
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. [8] Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. [9] Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. [10] Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
So, to declare the gates of hell to fight, in order to complete our redemption to take the key of that place from the devil so that the people that are there can come out.
The text in Matthew 16:18
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
This can be interpreted as ; “I will build my church and satanic house of parliament will not prevail against it”
I hope the issue of gates is understood. We will not be able to go into the issue of land for us to expose how much our land has been opened up to the enemy.
There are cities in this country where you find a shrine at the back of almost every house, so they open gates to the traffic of demons. After dealing with the people in the villages, these demons locate those living in cities abroad.
There is nowhere a person can run to if there are gates in his family. The only safe place is the tower-Jesus.
DISTANCE IS NO BARRIER
I know a man whose family had a shrine. Nothing worked for him, he tried to go out of the country but did not and concealed his plans. Eventually, he got a sailors’ passport and was granted travelling visa. Soon, he got married and did not get in touch with anybody back home. Suddenly, he had a dream one night and saw himself trying to escape from a dog, which eventually bit him and he felt the pains in real life, when he woke up. He narrated the dream to his wife and told her that he knew they had eventually got him.
The following day, he received a letter from home and wondered how they got his address. A few days later, the state police came with a document and he confirmed having signed it. They told him that it was an offence and he was deported. He did not have time to pick anything he had a pair of jeans shorts and pull-over on at the time he landed in Nigeria. No matter the distance, if the gates have been opened and they are not shut through prayers, there will be a demonic traffic going up and down and information will be passed from one demon to the other and they carry out assignment for satan.
The Bible says; “The habitation of darkness is full of cruelty, wickedness” Zechariah cried out: “…… this is wickedness”
There are many wicked things that are being done in the dark, that is why the Bible says; “it is a shameful thing to talk about what is being done in darkness, at the gate”
At these gates, they operate in darkness, complete secrecy, in isolated places: water, rocks, iroko trees. Many of us would have hard of roads, house and cars in iroko trees or underground, under the waters. No one knows for certain, the exact location and time of their meetings. It is naked only before the yes of God.
A small girl confessed that she and her witchcraft mates were holding their meetings in her mother’s refrigerator. The poor woman who sells soft drinks was not making any profit and didn’t know why. The witches had finished everything spiritually.
A sister was happy when a man proposed to marry her. The man for whatever reason had to unbutton his shirt and the lady saw a scorpion engraved on his stomach. She asked him what it meant and he told her about the shrine it represented. The following day, she wrote to tell him she was no longer interested in the relationship. Afterwards, she could no longer sleep because she was seeing scorpions all over her and on her bed. She was really tormented. I would like you to pray the following prayer point with holy madness.
Every evil thing done against me in the night be frustrated, in the name of Jesus.
WHAT KIND OF POWERS MEET AT THE GATES?
Those who meet at the gates are into powerful covenants of destruction.
Isaiah 28:14-18
Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, that rule this people, which is in Jerusalem. [15] Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
[16] Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. [17] Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
[18] And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
These powers have satanic confidence. It is believers that fear death, those who operate at the gate do not fear death at all. This is why they can board a vehicle and cause it to be involved in an accident, they make covenants with death, but the Bible says that this covenants of destruction and has made a vow that they have to submit the lives of certain people for destruction.
A man wrote me a letter sometime ago. He said he got married as an unbeliever, his wife refused to become born again and was comfortable with his prayer points; infact, she would tear up the written ones so, the man started memorizing them and would pray off hand. One day the woman suddenly dropped from the bed and started confessing that she belonged to a cult where she had been asked to donate her husband. The fact that the man had become undefeatable means that she would have to die in his stead. She actually died on the spot.
Can you be donated? I can not. When the people involved in these covenants become born again they have to do a lot of prayer warfare to set themselves free from this collective captivity. These powers at the gates are very stubborn, they resist everything, they endure even fire.
An American was preaching on our television one day about gifts. In his illustration, he showed that when God pours down blessings, they are ours.
You may be praying fire prayers, sending fire into the camp of the enemy; they will endure and resist thinking you will soon stop. If you do, they will recover. A man’s name would have entered into the Guinness Book of records. He shot at and got the longest snake ever (about 100feet), but this snake struggled in pain and cut in two at the spot it was shot and the part bearing the head escaped.
A little girl who had familiar spirit and had ruined her father financially was brought for deliverance a long time ago. As she was being prayed for, she was smiling. Suddenly, a brother changed the prayer point and she fell and started wriggling on the floor. A voice spoke through her in Latin. When challenged, the voice said he was a demon from Rome.
If you go through the Bible, you will find out that the principles are there. David chose 5 stones so that if one missed, the other would hit the target. But the one he threw did not even miss because he challenged Goliath in the name of the Lord God of Israel.
WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE CARRIED OUT AT THOSE DEMONIC GATES?
At the gates, they operate clever satanic network and information is passed easily from one to the other. They spy on people, homes, business etc.
There is something called bugging of telephone lines. Conversations are monitored through this means both the caller and the called are heard and decisions taken are known.
The bugging systems include evil marks and incisions. If you have incisions on you and you do not nullify their effect upon your life, they will continue to supply information to the evil world about you.
Satanic decorations, Occultic materials, spiritually contaminated jewelry, objects possessed by evil spirits, snakes and ladder games, whot cards, satanically inspired home decorations, demonic crosses and stolen clothes all serve as informants.
At the gates is the habitation of lying John 8:44 talks about the devil being the father of all liars.
If you build anything on a foundation of lies or half truth, it will not stand. It not only disturbs God’s guidiance for your life but also makes you take steps that are not right for you which produce greater loss than any gain. If you tell lies, you will need other lies to maintain the former and give it respect.
When a lie sees the truth, it flees; there will now be the need for a greater lie to be able to re-enter. These powers make people tell lies and encourage them at the same time, such lies are recorded against the person. When you tell lies, you are building on a sandy foundation; and you are heading for hell fire this also attracts liars into your life and handiwork. Lying prevents understanding and no enjoyment of permanent good results, leads to bondage and earns punishment from God. Unfortunately, a liar passes it on to his descendants. Whatever profit made by lying is eventually vomited.
At the gates, demonic anchors landing spaces are created in the lives of people. They start when a child is young-were you greatly embarrassed as a child or adolescent? Were you involved in a pattern of sadness at the beginning of your life, which continued building on each other?
Do you have difficulty recalling anything about your childhood? Is your childhood totally blank to you? It is these powers at the gates that are responsible; they don’t want you to remember so that you cannot work on it. Have you disliked yourself and wished you were someone else or wished never to have been born? Do you have unreasonable years and recurring memories of what someone did to you as a child which still makes you feel troubled when you think about it? Do you over react to things? All these are created at a tender age by these power at the evil gates.
HOW TO DEAL WITH EVIL GATES
Repentance
This has been watered down today. Any true repentance brings about godly sorrow. You must repent for allowing the enemy to land on you, for opening the gates to the enemy. If you are not born again, do so now.
Revelation.
Ezekiel 8:5-12
Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry. [6] He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.
[7] And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall. [8] Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. [9] And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. [10] So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about. [11] And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up. [12] Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The Lord seeth us not; the Lord hath forsaken the earth.
Disband evil gatherings using Isaiah8:9-10

Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. [10] Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.
Declare the gates closed by the blood of Jesus, so that there is no longer any traffic against you. Some people wonder what things keep repeating itself and renewing their appearance instead of ending. It is because the traffic is till flowing; you have to close it by the Blood of Jesus.
Pull down and destroy the gates
The Bible says; “the weapon of our warfare are not carnal but are mighty to pull down strongholds”
Pursue the evil traffic and recover what they have stolen from you
Forbid a re-establishment in your life.
These are every serious matter. Jesus calls Himself the gate. We read the gate of heaven in Genesis. We read about he gate of hell in Matthew we are going to pray some prayers, which I would like you to take seriously. You addressing gates. Some people have been to different herbalists and false prophets, thereby, opening evil gates into their lives.
People wonder how snakes, serpents and earthworms get to high buildings.
A sister recounted a testimony of how she was promoted and someone challenged her. When she got her office on the 11th floor one morning, as she sat on her seat, she felt a cold sensation on her leg and she looked and found a snake coiled on her leg. She pleaded the Blood of Jesus and the serpent stretched itself and died.
This was on the Marina, not in a forest, a gate was opened against her but she knew what to do. Many people don’t know where their names have been taken to. Many people have shrines at home.
A man who came for prayers said he had lot of things to renounce. He brought all sorts and they were burned. Some of these things were inherited and had been in the family for 600years.

2. O Lord empower me to possess the gates of my enemies, in the name of Jesus.
3. I uproot every evil altar in my life in the name of Jesus.
4. Let divine thunder scatter every evil meeting held against me at evil gates, in the name of Jesus.
5. Let the counsel of God for my life be enforced upon the enemy in the name of Jesus.
6. Every chain used in holding down my progress, break and be destroyed by fire, in the name of Jesus.
Elijah had dealt with the prophets of Baal and Jezebel threatened to kill him. This man had called down fie, fled-why? Because the words of Jezebel were backed up by evil powers.
7. Let every word anointed by evil spirits against me fall down to the ground and die in the name of Jesus.
8. Every agent of spiritual and [prosperity paralysis, be dismantled now, in the name of Jesus.
9. Let life be squeezed out of dream attackers, in the name of Jesus.
10. Every evil cabinet installed against me be disbanded in the name of Jesus.
11. O Lord, install your agenda for my life whether the devil likes it or not, in the name of Jesus.
12. Let every power of household wickedness be confounded and put to shame in the name of Jesus.
13. Let the counsel of God prosper in my life in the name of Jesus.
14. I destroy the power of any demonic seed in my life from the womb in the name of Jesus.
