When the fluff is gone.
In the summer when the dandelions are at the point when they fill the grass with what looks like cotton balls on a stick , we notice how beautiful they are , how delicate they are. We usually will single one out and hold it in our hand , careful not to hurt it . We then marvel at how they are so soft and then what do we do , blow on them . We blow on them to see the fluff spread out and get caught by the wind , to be carried to a new place to grow for the next season . In nature the wind does the same thing . It will blow the fluff off the flower to carry it’s seed to whole areas of new ground.
As our Lord has made the dandelion like this He also has made us in much the same way . When He plants us with the seed of faith we grow . We take in the Word of God and are nurtured by it . As we take in His love and grow in Him we get built up . We start to develop fluff . We are growing in Christ that His light starts to shine threw us . Others see His glory in us . We commune with The Holy Spirit daily , we pray in the Spirit to our Father . We become overjoyed with peace . That is when we are at a peak in our life , that is the top of the mountain , that is when we are closest to Father. That is when Satan attacks . He comes and just as the wind blew the fluff off the dandelion Satan comes and blows out our fluff. He does this buy having us lose our job , family members having a life changing heart attack, spouses leaving each other , or any number of ways to blow out our faith in Jesus . Father allows this to happen for He knows that now is time for the next step . The fluff was like the dandelion seeds , as the wind blows them it plants those seeds at new places . Just as when we are engulfed with the Spirit and The Word in our hearts we witness to others without even knowing it . God shines threw us so that others may see the trueness in you .This , they see as genuine and not fake , this is real , this person knows something about Jesus that no one else has shown them. They want some one real , just as we wanted the real Jesus , the real Father , the real person to talk to us about Jesus. That is spreading the seeds of our life with Christ . We are planting the seeds of faith with our Father in Heaven working threw us . Back to the dandelion ,what’s left is the dandelion now without the fluff. Just as we are when things happen to us or around us that try to blow us out . Father allows these trials to happen to build us up , to strengthen us , to rebuild us . Just as the potter builds up his clay pottery and then as it is about finished and is looking great he changes his mind or finds a new direction that he wants to go with this lump of clay. Father is the same way , when we are built up and we think we have faith , joy, peace, and just and understanding of what Father wants , that is usually when He is ready to take us to that next level . Father will allow Satan to blow out our fluff so that all we have is our faith in Christ and that is when we sink or float . That is when we are left open , vulnerable, wounded. We feel that way but Father is still watching and He is right there beside us . He is seeing if what we had is all fluff or is there real faith there . Is there a core faith in His Son Jesus , that surpasses all understanding of what we may think is going on around us. Mathew 13;3-9 says it best “ 3 He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, "Behold, a farmer went out to sow. 4 As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them. 5 Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn’t have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of earth. 6 When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away. 7 Others fell among thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them: 8 and others fell on good soil, and yielded fruit: some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty. 9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
This faith is the core of the relationship we have with Father . Without it when the winds blow our fluff away what do we have ? With out our faith in Father and His Son , Jesus , we are just attending church. We are just going threw the motions. Father tests us from time to time to build our faith . When these things happen and we are stripped from our fluff and all our faith is exposed that is when He rebuilds us . He makes us stronger . He molds us , again and again to we are now starting on that next level with Him . We are being prepared for the next step in our walk with Jesus . That next step may be greater than you ever imagined or it could be a series of next steps that you may have to fallow but all are to the glory of God. All are for His purpose . He will be using you for a new and watching you grow until again you have fluff . A covering that all will see His work in you. His Spirit working in you. Again you will talk to others and be witnessing to them without even knowing it , but now it’s more. It’s stronger . You will not as easily be shaken . You will not easily be moved . You will stand firm in your faith in our Lord and be able to do these new things He wants you to do . You will be blessed also in more ways than you can imagine . More than you ever thought possible will He work wonders in you . Wonders that will be your testimony to others .
All of this with your faith in Him. Mathew 8:13 states about the centurion’s faith “13 Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way. Let it be done for you as you have believed." His servant was healed in that hour. “
His faith in Jesus was real faith . Faith that Jesus was the messiah . Because of his faith his servant was healed . JOHN 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: have faith in God and have faith in me. This is what Father wants , our faith in Him . All our faith , just as all our being , all our heart . He wants all our faith in Him and His Son Jesus . When we have that , that true core faith , nothing not even Satan himself can take us down. We may stumble and fall but Father picks us up and builds us back to be better than before . As long as we have Jesus in our hearts and obey His Word father will provide for everything we need and bless us with His never ending love . As we are obedient to Him , He will bless us in ways we could never have thought of . All with faith. Sometimes His plans may not be what we hoped for but we are here to serve Him . In fact sometimes His plans are not what we plan and we may be confused if not angered that why has He not heard our prayers . He has heard them and He is answering them . We have to have faith in that what is happening to us is His will for us . It may be to lead you to a better life with Him , it may lead you to a different life , a new way of life , or it may not change at all but just get better , it is all for the glory of Father . That is were we have to have faith and to get this faith we have to trust in Him . Trust is a subject that a lot of us don’t have but say we do. Trust is something that we give to our friends only to have them later break that trust. Trust is what we give our spouse only to be broken by them also and yet they are the closest ones to us. It’s no wonder that we have a problem trusting in God , we have had our trust broken by everyone else we think He will to .But He wont , if you allow Him work in your life He will bless you . He will build you up. He will sustain you and carry you threw the bad times and rejoice with you in the good times. His promises are written in the covenants in the Bible. All we have to do is read them . How can you have faith without trust and how can you have trust without taking that step of faith . That step that you don’t know were it will lead but you are putting it in the hand of The Lord and fallowing were He leads you , and how will He lead you ,The Word . How can we find all this , read The Word, engulf yourself in The Word , His Word. It doesn’t have to be in one that speaks in a dialect from mid-evil England , get a new translation one that you can get into , read and immerse yourself into His Word and He will talk to you. He will direct you to what He wants for you . He will build you up , fluff you up , and fill you with joy till your cup runs over , till there are rivers of flowing water ,living water , running out from you. All this with faith .
