“2And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.3And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.4And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. 5And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.6And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.” Luke 19:2-6
There are times a NO should be disregarded as an answer, times when you refuse to be stopped by anything. Times when you desire to see something great in life. Nothing stops a desired heart. No one (only God) can stop a fervent desire to see something. I have read of little kids who would wake up and switch on to the channels their parents wouldn’t recommend them to watch. Irregardless of the tiredness of the body that requires rest by sleeping the kids would wake up to see the TV.
Do you want to see your life changing, do you want to see yourself living your God given life, and do you have anything you want to see? You need to have a serious desire to see and you will see.
If you are still saying I want this and that but I am shy, poor, superior, inferior, small, great etc then you aren’t going to see that. If you want to see something great in life you have to have a serious desire. You need a living desire, a desire that is blind to all other things but the thing it desires to see.
I read of people who desired to get to heaven by a tall tower. They were serious and God saw their fervent desire and had to stop them. They had their language varied so that they could not coordinate the whole process. These fellows were serious but on wrong mission. You need to passionately follow your desire and ignore all the threatening circumstances.
The scripture above talks of the rich, chief but little in stature. This then tells me that being rich or a leader has nothing to do with your physical stature. This man just heard about Jesus and learnt that He was passing through their area. Zacchaeus then developed a serious desire to see the Lord. He made it in his mind that no matter what it takes I am going to see Jesus. He ignored his financial status, his leadership position, his physical shortcoming and above the risky of falling from the tree. All these were enough reasons to stop this man from seeing Jesus. All these are the reasons that put many people from seeing the fulfillment of their life purposes, growth in the Lord, living positively, happily with faith in God.
When Jesus came to the tree He asked Zaccheaeus to come down and be with Him in his house. You need to stand in the way of opportunity with a serious desire to get the opportunity. Unless you have such a great desire you will only be stopped by simple thoughts of fear of things that do not exist. You must have a serious desire before you achieve. You must have a serious desire before you exercise your faith. You must have a desire and dare not to be moved by anything.
Jesus Christ refused to fear a painful death of the cross. He wanted to see the forgiveness of our sins. He desired that all must be vessels of honor before God. He refused to be stopped by any form of bodily and mental harm. He had a desire. All who made it in life were driven by a desire, a serious desire.
Have a serious desire to see strong enough, bold enough and courageous enough and your life both spiritual and physical will change radically.
God bless you!
