I would like you to read this message with rapt attention and with full concentration. God has a purpose for making this bulletin come your way. No one goes to the market without having a specific thing in mind to buy or to sell. Allow the purpose for which God has made you see this message, be fulfilled in your life.
The Bible says; “Right from the time of John the Baptist, the kingdom of God has been suffering violence and the violent take it by force.”
Let it be known unto you that by the time you would have finished reading this message and praying the prayers, something concrete would have happened. Something must bend, bow, or die by the time you would have violently prayed the prayers I am going to suggest to you.
1 Samuel 11:1-11: Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabesh-Gilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, “Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee”. 2And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, “On this condition will I make a covenant with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it for a reproach upon all Israel”. 3And the elders of Jabesh said unto him, “Give us seven days’ respite, that we may send messengers unto all the coasts of Israel; and then, if there be no man to save us, we will come out to thee. 4Then came the messengers to Gibeah of Saul, and told the tidings in the ears of the people: and all the people lifted up their voices, and wept. 5And, behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field; and Saul said, “What aileth the people that they weep? And they told him the tidings of the men of Jabesh. 6And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly. 7And he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, “Whosoever cometh not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen”. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent. 8And when he numbered them in Bezek, the children of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah thirty thousand. 9And they said unto the messengers that came, “Thus shall ye say unto the men of Jabesh-Gilead, Tomorrow, by that time the sun be hot, ye shall have help”. And the messengers came and shewed it to the men of Jabesh; and they were glad. 10Therefore the men of Jabesh said, “Tomorrow we will come out unto you, and ye shall do with us all that seemeth good unto you”. 11And it was so on the morrow, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered, so that two of them were not left together.
Nahash wanted to turn the whole nation into a one-eyed people. It is a terrible thing to have an enemy that you know you cannot fight.
I say unto you this day beloved, that in the midst of the fire of the enemy, you shall have help, in the name of Jesus.
Nahash the Ammonite had power; he knew that the people of Jabesh-Gilead were no match to him. The people of Jabesh-gilead also knew that Nahash had power and that they were no match to him. He did not just sit at home, neither did he set a trap to catch them; he encamped against them. The people of Jabesh-Gilead did not have power. So, they took precaution. They decided to make peace with the enemy, by making a covenant with him.
This is the mistake of many people today; they bow to pressures from friends and relatives; they go into the camp of the enemy to seek solution to the problems that the enemy had caused; they seek solution from the enemy against the enemy, not knowing that it is the camp of the enemy.
There was a man who had a 5-year old boy who remained a baby. He did not grow the size of a 9-month-old baby; he had the teeth of a 5-year-old but could not walk nor sit . The man cried and prayed and it seemed as if there was no solution to the predicament.
One day, a friend took him to a diviner, who told him that his mother-in-law was responsible for it and that he should go to the village and beg her to release the child.
He went to the village and was welcomed by his mother-in-law, who asked him what he had to do. He told her that he learnt that she was responsible for the state of his child and had come to make peace so that she can revoke whatever it was.
She told him that his offence was neglect; that when she came to visit them in Lagos, she saw that her daughter was sleeping on a deluxe mattress, she had a refrigerator, television and all the comfort but he had not done anything for her, the mother.
The man asked for forgiveness and promised to buy everything she wanted. He dashed back to Lagos, bought everything he could, and went to furnish the woman’s house.
She hailed him and asked him to come with her to the back of the yard. There, he saw a pot, in it, was a lizard, tied with a string and it was half-dead. The pot was dry and the lizard could hardly breathe. The woman said the lizard was the man’s son and she gave him a bowl of a water to pour on the lizard.
He did and the lizard was revived. She asked him to go back to Lagos and his son will be well. True to her word, his son started to feed well and grow. The growth was rapid and everybody was happy.
Suddenly, one morning, he and his wife woke up and found the three children they had, dead.
It is a dangerous thing to go into the camp of the enemy to seek solution. It is dangerous to arm yourself by the fire of the enemy. It is a dangerous thing for the enemy to know who you are and you yourself don’t know who you are.
It is dangerous when the enemy appreciates the power of God in your life and you don’t. It is dangerous for the enemy to see you and run but you are running too.
I had a Yoruba teacher who always said this proverb in Yoruba: “It is he who runs that is pursued.” If you don’t run, the enemy will be scared that you will fight back and he will run away.
The people of Jabesh-Gilead, did not know this truth in Psalm 5:9: “For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wicked; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.”
Psalm 120:7: I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
They were warming themselves by the fire of the enemy, like Peter. He was warming himself by the fire of those who arrested Jesus and there, they recognised him, it was obvious that he was a disciple of the Lord Jesus by the way he spoke and by his dressing.
Many people have put themselves in trouble by doing what they should not have done. Some people should never have touched anything fetish but one way or the other, they found themselves consulting herbalists and using charms and armlets; thus, defiling themselves against the plan of God for their lives.
This is why you should plug yourself into the Absolute Power. If you say you want to use the power in the lighting of candles, one day, you will meet someone who has bigger candles and more power.
If you rely on herbalists, one day, you will find out that there are more powerful herbalists. If you consult diviners who consult the earth, you will find a tougher one that consults the heavens. Plug into the Absolute Power.
Jabesh-Gilead, instead of fighting, they gave in and told Nahash to give them time to think about the conditions he gave them. He was bent on removing their right eyes, this would bring reproach to Israel, defeat was inevitable. Nahash wanted to turn them into a one-eyed nation.
When you want to make peace with the enemy, he will refuse but agree when people bend to his conditions and he will rejoice and make fun of their Christianity in secret. They encourage people to go to the devil for help, they are interested in bringing reproach to the Christian, they are boasting powers that are declaring openly, the number of lives they have rendered useless.
They are saying that you should prove that God is with you. They have made an open fire and pushed many people into it. They have completely surrounded many and have blocked every possible avenue for solutions. That is why many people find it difficult to get help and anyone who dares help them gets into serious trouble.
This is why we should be praying for men of God. Sometimes, after a deliverance session, the minister is harassed by the evil powers that he has chased out of people’s lives. They challenged him and sometimes tell him how long they have been in the family from generation to generation and how they own the lives of the people through a standing covenant.
For some people; it is their placenta that has been eaten up spiritually by these powers and their lives are being monitored.
Beloved, a lot of people are in the heat now, just like the people of Jabesh-Gilead, but a message was sent to them; “In the heat I have news for you today: It is time for you to receive help. It is time for your Nahash to be destroyed. In the midst of the fire, you shall receive help.
You may be tempted to ask why God allows people to get into the heat of the enemy fire before He brings help.
Why did God allow Nebuchadnezzar to erect the golden image, command people to bow to it and command the 3 Hebrew boys to be thrown into the fire?
In the midst of the heat, God intervened. Couldn’t He have done something before then? What if the boys had been consumed by the fire.
Isaiah 43:2: When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Here, the Lord says: “When”, not “If”. This means it is not an assumption.
Why then does God wait until His children get into the heat of trouble before He acts? What is the secret behind Isaiah 43:2?
IT IS A BIG OPPORTUNITY TO EXERCISE ONE’S FAITH
1.To prove that the enemy does not have all the power.
One day, a man called his wife and told her that his style would change as from that night. He said he would be bringing in women into the house to spend the night with him, every other night. His wife said it was impossible that he could not do that in their matrimonial home. He said if she does not like it, she should leave.
That night, she could not believe it when her husband came into the house with a woman and they spent the night together. The wife wept all through the night.
Two nights later, he brought in another woman. It continued until one day, he brought in another woman who actually came to stay permanently. He was always with this strange woman and the wife could not stand it. She came for counseling and she wanted to move out of the house. She was advised to continue praying. She went for the anointing service and with her oil, she anointed the whole house, the room her husband was staying with the strange woman, including the bed.
The night that followed, she heard her husband’s voice, screaming for help. When she got to the room, she found her husband on the floor, with the strange woman sitting on him, with her hands on his neck, ready to strangulate him.
The wife managed to pull up the strange woman who started to rain abuses on the man. She called him names and wondered what he was looking for, running after women, when he had such a nice woman as wife at home. She packed her belongings and left.
It was that night, that the man got born again afresh. He asked for pardon and peace began to reign in the home again.
God fought the fight for this sister and she regained her husband.
2.To make people develop unshaken confidence in God.
Meshach, Shedrach and Abednego had confidence in their God. They refused to bow to the golden image. They said they preferred to burn than to bow; they said they knew that God would save them and in case He decided to allow them burn, they still would not bow. They confidently walked into the fire and the Lord saved them.
Now, people are beginning to know the power of God in MFM.
Armed-robbers went into the house of a member and as they were going through his things, one of them found a sticker with the logo of MFM on it. He called the brother and asked if he was a member and he said ‘yes’.
The robber quickly hands-off the belongings and told the brother to say: “I did not take anything from your house”. He alerted the others and they ran off without taking anything.
3.To strengthen faith.
4.To teach important spiritual lessons that cannot be learnt from any book or school.
5.To make people appreciate the worth of their deliverance.
When Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego left the fiery furnace, they saw the corpse of those who threw them in who were affected by the heat; these ones were affected by the heat, they did not get into the fire. This made the three Hebrew boys glorify God and even Nebuchadnezzars acknowledged the fact that the Lord, He is God.
6.To prove your spiritual strength.
God made the Israelites go through the wilderness, so that His name would be glorified.
He allowed Pharaoh to run after them and almost caught up with them before He parted the Read Sea. Just before then, the Israelites had gone hysterical and blamed Moses for taking them from Egypt.
God allowed Absalom to chase David and he went helter, skelter climbing rocks and mountains, hiding in valleys and forests.
God allowed Daniel to be arrested and thrown into the den of lions but He shut the mouth of the lions. He allowed Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego, to be thrown into the fiery furnace before He intervened.
Why did Jesus have to be led of the Holy Spirit into he wilderness? Why did Paul have to suffer ship wretch, imprisonment, beatings, etc?
It is because God has His way in the wilderness and through the whirlwind. The children of God could pass through waters and fire but as a principle of God’s which never changes, His people will laugh last. God is a specialist at turning up when the heat is very hot.
Is there a spiritual Nahash trying to pluck out your eyes?
I have good news for you; when men have given up on you, when all hope is lost, God is just starting with you. When doctors declare that; “This is a hopeless case God will step in and rectify the anomaly.
Here is a secret; “God is not deaf to the cries of His people. The Bible says: “Will the Lord not avenge the cries of His saints who cry unto Him day and night? I say unto you; He will avenge them speedily.”
Get ready to pray some mountain-moving prayers, if you want the Lord to avenge you speedily.
This bulletin is called; “Battle Cry.” I want you to arise a cry unto the Lord and He will go into battle against every Nahash that is threatening to disgrace you.
However, if you are not yet born again, please do so very quickly, right there where you are; so that you can experience the salvation of the Lord and become a candidate of heaven and enjoy the joy of salvation. Do it now, for tomorrow might be too late.
Confess your sins to Him and ask Him to forgive you. Name them one after the other and decide to forsake them. Ask Him to cleanse you with the precious Blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross at calvary, for the remission of your sins.
Ask the Lord Jesus to come into your life and become your personal Lord and Saviour. Promise Him that you will never go back to the world anymore. Say good-bye to the devil and the world of sin and death and enter into the kingdom of light.
I congratulate you for this decision that you have just taken. I pray that it shall be permanent in your life in the name of Jesus. My prayer for you, is that the Lord will uphold you with His right hand of righteousness and will keep you till the end and your name will be written in the Book of Life.
Now, before you go into the prayer section, I would like you to examine your life and bring quality repentance before the Lord. I do not want you to read this message and there is a threatening Nahash, bragging and boasting of his ability to pluck out your eyes.
Ask the Lord to forgive you every sin that could cause a hindrance to your prayers. I want you to experience the mighty power of God as you pray the prayer points I am suggesting. It could be anger, worry, lying,or anything that is not of God.
Now, pray these prayers violently.
