Have You Heard The News?
Luke 2:6-11
6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, (I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.)
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Have you ever had anyone say to you “did you see or hear or read in the news about”? It happens all the time, whether it is good news or bad.
Today’s news can affect us financially, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. The problem is, is that the effects we experience from worldly news are not always based on the truth.
We respond the way the media wants us to respond for purposes unknown to us.
If you like good news or bad news the Bible is full of it. Past, present, future and very relevant.
If you look at the past.
PAST- Creation
Gen 1:25
God saw that it was good.
Rev 4:11
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
We see how He loved His people, showed His power and provided for them.
How He responded to their needs, their faithfulness, their obedience, and rebellion.
Christ coming on the scene, living and dying.
PRESENT-Current news
The position of the saved (accepting Him) and the condition of the sinner (rejecting Him).
FUTURE-End time news
The rapture of the church. The destruction of the sinner.
What is your reaction, now that you have heard the news, what are you going to do with this information?
They say hind-sight is 20/20, so don’t miss the news.
Accept Christ today.
