Summary: How can so much good come from something so bad? Amazing.

I’VE GOT SOME GOOD AND BAD NEWS

Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Mount of Olives-Praying not my will

They came and took Him from the garden to a mockery trial

They covered His face and slapped Him around

They spit in His face

His own disciple betrayed Him

They stripped Him of His clothes and tied Him to a whipping post

They placed a rugged wooden cross on His battered back

Took Him to Calvary’s hill and drove nails into His hands and feet

They mocked Him as He literally bled to death

They buried Him in a tomb

He died in our place, so that we could be forgiven of our sins.

That is not good news.

But in spite of placing soldiers there and sealing the stone and all of the demonic forces of hell there, to keep Him from coming out of the grave, He arose. Praise God!

Now that’s the good news

Now, all the things that Jesus endured, does not mean a thing if there is no resurrection. But the good news is He was raised from the dead.

Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Because He lives:

I’m not a slave to sin anymore.

I’ve been delivered from alcohol, drugs, tobacco, immorality.

I experience a love like I’ve never known.

I experience healing for my body.

I don’t lack for anything. Having Him I have everything.

I have eternal life, my name is written in the book of life.

I have a mansion in heaven.

I will never die.

I don’t have to fear.

Be discouraged.

I don’t have to despair.

Good news!

What is the proof of His resurrection? Me! (Give personal testimony)

Do you know this resurrected Savior?

You can today.
