Acts 2:17
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
God is sovereign: There are times God chooses to do something, and we don’t have anything to say about it. The only thing left up to us is ( We’ll we be a part of it or not?)
(Gal 4:4-5) But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Exod 19:10-11 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
Isa 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Here God says, the new thing will be done, the only question is: (will you recognize it when it comes)
(Luke 19:44 KJV) And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
The sovereignty of God says: My spirit will be poured out on all flesh.. But it’s up to you whether you receive it or not.
The river is a symbol of life, it is symbolic of the presence and the power of God
[One of the saddest things you’ll ever see is a dry river bed, a shadow of what used to be.
Unfortunately many times, Gods people lose the reality of their relationship with God, But rather than to admit it, they pretend, and go through the motions, and become like a dry river bed.]
The first place we find this river, is in the book of beginnings (Genesis)
Gen 2:10
10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
KJV-- Pison. = Full flow, Not a trace, not a trickle, not a drip or a drop, not a stream, but a full flow.
KJV-- Gihon. = "bursting forth"; KJV-- break forth, something is trying to hinder or restrict me, but I’m breaking forth. Satan has been trying to build walls in my life to restrict the flow, but I’m breaking forth.
Hiddekel = "rapid" Swift as an arrow, (that arrow is in your mouth)=Praise
KJV—Euphrates = Sweet water, ( When we get a full flow, all the bitterness, will have to go)
Ezek. 47:9 Says the river cometh. And it says this river will bring healing everywhere it comes, ( if the conditions are right.)
Eze.47:8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
#1 desert =death, never had life, helpless hopeless.
#2 The sea ( strongs says, the dead sea) = christians who have had life, and even now pretend to have life but they’re dead.
There is healing for all, but there is a condition to be met, to receive it
Note: vs(9) Everything which liveth =natural human life breath existence ( which moveth ) whithersoever the rivers come, shall live=Spiritual life.
MOVETH:= Respond, (Accept,) (Yeild to,) (Enter into) (Surrender to) (Committ to)
[Make the necessary adjustments]
God said I’m coming down, sanctify yourselves.
God said: The river cometh, get ready for it, make the necessary adjustments,
(Don’t fight, it Flow with it)
And finally (vs.9) The result of receiving the river and flowing with it is (There will be a very great multitude of fish) = Souls
I Believe this is the time of our visitation, I also believe that there are many who are missing their time of visitation,
because:
#1 They don’t recognize it
#2 They are not willing to make the adjustments necessary to receive it and flow with it.
New wine is for new bottles,
This Simply means, to receive the newness of God’s spirit, we must be renewed in our minds, and able to flex, to stretch, and to expand to accomadate his movings and directions.
The River Cometh:
Will you be blessed by it, and enter into the flow?
Or will you resist, and argue, and force it to flow around you, leaving you unchanged, and stuck in the mud of traditions, and past experiences?
